    Just watched "Dirty Harry".

Why can't more modern movies be like this instead of shit trashy money making blow fests that think the general populus are stupid yokels.

Dirty Harry 9/10 from me especially if you like a good crime/action! I shall make my way through the archives for more amazing movies from a better day.

    The A-Team (2010).
OK, the modern interpretation of the classic TV show...

Quite pleasantly surprised with this. Taking the viewer back and giving the bigger picture (and obvious fodder for sequals).
Certainly went overboard with the CGI budget.

    8:10.

    Scott Pilgrim vs the World

Pretty strange and don't think I really understood the first half till I got most of the way through it, and not in the good mindfuck kind of way either. Still managed to be somewhat entertaining though.

    I give it a /10

    The Social Network

3/10 - Almost a decent movie, in the same way that Spork is almost useful.
    Good
    - Story line changed so it wasn't a geek mastication all the time
    - How to fuck your friends over in 2 meetings.
    Bad
    - I am a geek and I found this film was too geeky
    - Catch phrases and lingo and general conversations are like snorting cocaine cut with shock rocks

    UNKNOWN

Starring Liam Neeson and January Jones.

Pretty decent thriller, tightly paced, and up till I worked out which recent major movie franchise it had a very similar theme to I was puzzled. The last quarter drags a bit, and one of the central plot points (a philanthropic Saudi prince) is just too unbelievable for words. I mean, come on.

A decent enough outing for the flicks.

Great supporting cast, by the way (Diane Kruger, Bruno Ganz particularly). And its set in Berlin, which I would now like to visit.

3.5 stars normally, 4 if you are in the mood for it.

    Cliffhanger (1993)

Classic early 90's adventure film with some enjoyable thrills (the first scene was a major). Beautiful film location and scenery was impressive. However the rest was quite bland to me.

    Rambo on mountain.

    5.0/10

    I'd give CLIFFHANGER 2/10

theres a couple of scenes which are just stupid, like the one where the carabiner is slowly unravelling and pinging open. Under the weight of a girl who would be 50kg if she was dripping wet. (who knows, maybe she was). Like you say, Rambo on the hill.

Shot in NZ too? (or was that another lame mountaineering movie about the same time?)

Nah that was the one about the midgets climbing a mountain. The Return of the King it was called.

Back in the day Cliffhanger was awesome. It's like any of those movies. You watch them now and they're pretty laughable.

You might be thinking about Vertical Limit which includes Temuera Morrison as a Pakistani

LOL to all the posters early on in this thread that liked KICKASS. I could not get past 20 minutes of it.

I give BLACK SWAN 7.5/10. You can appreciate it even if you couldnt care less about ballet, interesting cast of charaters, and the plot keeps you guessing...

Watched RUN LOLA RUN for the first time last night, give it 8/10

Go and watch the whole thing and come back with an informed opinion afterwards.
