Saw it a while back and had difficulty keeping track of the various threads. Missus had read the book which helped. Sort of movie that would be worth a 2nd, or 3rd, watch me thinks.

    Sushi Girl

Guy at the store told me not to get it as he thought it was shit. I actually quite liked it. Solid 7/10

    The intouchables

not to be confused with the 'untouchables'..this ones a french language film, i like subtitled movies occasionally, about a wealthy french aristocrat type who is paralysed from the neck down and an unemplyed black guy who is sent to a job interview as a home care type position. inevitibly they become close friends despite the usual odds.
my sister gave it 10/10...id say 6.5/10
worth a watch, but not as good as the 'butterfly and the diving bell' or 'a very long engagement' (both french language films which i liked)

    The Evil Dead new version...

Dunno if this has been mentioned. Can't be arsed going back to look. But to me...it's exactly as it should be. 9/10.

    Olympus Has Fallen 6/10

Gaping plot holes, but was otherwise quite well done. 10-15 years too late to be a real hit imo.

If you are really stuck for something to watch try A Serbian Film. You won't find it at your local, it was banned over here.

If you thought the Centipede series was twisted this is on another level.

Yeah was a lil hard to follow. In some ways...reminded me a lil of a David Lynch film. You're never quite sure if what is going on is real or a dream/vision.

Agreed - was a great "I wana watch a film that 10 year old me would say was awesome". It delivered well in 3D. Also when I got home got me wondering about what a sequel would be like (rare thing these days). Therefore 9/10.

I had high hopes for this, and was utterly disappointed. It was like all the Tom Hanks movies I have ever hated combined into one epileptic fit of a film. The saddest part of the movie was finding out that the sex scenes were also rubbish. Would be a good movie to drink alot, pop a couple of HD drugs and then blur all the scenes into one.
    Cloud Atlas while sober = 2 / 10
Cloud Atlas while on heavy stuff = 15e^25 / root(x), when you define x you know how much drugs you have taken.

Yeah also enjoyed this. Was a good tie into the original series I remember as a kid also. Also 8.5/10

Meh... I didn't/wouldn't watch it a second time. It was a let down in ways... the achtung, I mean acting was the bit that let it down for me. Odd as fuck, homage paid to other movies, novel concept, but the acting
    I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!

I quite enjoyed it, but one of those movies you have to be in the mood for I think.
