Saw it last night.
7/10
Came out of it a bit disappointed. Too much like a re-hash of Episodes IV - VI. Much of the same everywhere, just "bigger".
Not a well-told story. I think someone said "the prequels disappointed most people, so make this like 'Star Wars'" - and then that was taken too literally.
Even the name "The Force Awakens" is annoying, after seeing it. That's basically what "New Hope" was. (Given the events after VI seem to mirror the events in III). As the sequel to "Return of the Jedi" it should have been called "They went away again".
Impressive to look at. Really liked the hulk of the Star Destroyer; seeing the debris of early battles makes it all a bit more "real". Also, the first 3D movie where I thought the 3D was good and added something. ("Avatar" in 3D did nothing for me (and made my Wife go vomit in the loos).)
Measure once, cut twice. Practice makes perfect.
Star Wars. Kinda got to agree with the, I've seen that before, crowd... and I thought the acting was much better in the original. Still, it sets the stage. 7/10.
I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!
Star Wars - 2nd viewing. Enjoyed it, enough of a nostalgic nod to the originals, none of the 2nd series' silliness, and plenty to be going on with. I like to think the gaping plot holes are set ups for Aha reveals in the subsequent eps.
9/10 would watch again

yup seen it. Good movie.
And watched ted2 yetterday aswell.
Dont recall the first, whether it just wasnt funny enough or what... But the second is crackup all the way, and the cameos. And the cashier sayin "white niggers" - fuck im a trend setter. Couple of overdone scenes but well worth a watch.
I'm offended though, by how much phones have invaded (life), i have no fucking interest in watching people use phones in movies, or even have them as props.

Watched The Revenant the other night, really really good! Go see it.
I met a chick who'd lived in Alaska, & had been attacked by a bear while riding a ride-on mower.
When i expressed doubt, she lifted up her hair in back, & showed me where she'd been partially scalped..
..& had furrows in her skull, from where the bear's canines had riven, but failed to penetrate..
..the bear had then departed, unsatisfied..
She habitually wore a .357 pistol after that..
Bears aint so tough, they're garbage pillaging dumpster divers.. watch 'The Ghost & the Darkness'..
& see how bad-arse African lions are - as real man-eater predators - by comparison..
