Not a movie - Danish TV series, The Protectors.

High-level police bodyguards tasked with protecting VIPs, dealing with counter-terrorism and stalking as well. Plays as extreme but believable throughout. Superstar writing and acting plus good to excellent production values mean that this one's worth looking for. Subtitles of course.

    Pacific rim.

Should have been called pacific rim job, cos it sucks ass.

contrived characters, plot, dialogue. irrelevant scenes by the bucket. lots of yelling australians.

mech warrior meets transformers meets gojira.

still never comprehend why you would make robots the same shape as humans. with the same weak points as humans. nor why an alien species would have the same anatomical weaknesses.

and fuck. why there'd be a million cunts on base doing SFA. engineering just isnt that big an job.

and HIGHLY over used welding/grinding sparks. srsly. that must be the cheapest, most irrelevant fucking effect ever.

3/10. i want to shit on the producers' lawns.

Actually, I rank it. probably better than the first, but since the first was forgettable and subsequently forgotten, dunno.

some tenuous plot devices/threads. and I cant think of even one building that has discotheque lighting tied into their emergency system, but some neat imagery throughout, well choreographed CQ fights, and .44 pistols with seemingly epic mag capacity.

for a guy with no emotion, there's a few sighs and exasperated looks, also some (inefficient and thus redundant) wit which adds to the likability, not the believability of the character

accept it as a no brainer and it's worth 7.5/10

*edit, also some terrible suits on te bad guys. and a running advert for audi. but meh.

Bit of Engrish and subtitles. Some of the very best films I've seen are subtitled.
