    Lightbulb FFS! As a sponsor...

    Hey Guys.
I just want to say as a sponsor that the politics being played out on KB are no good for the sport. It's humiliating for the lot of you and the sport in general.

Many of you are high profile, with decades of experience, and much needed role models for our next generation.
May I suggest you keep it offline - and that it's time for a meeting between you all, and clear the air in person, like gentlemen. Do what needs to be done.

You may ask what's it got to do with me? Not just that I class some of you as friends, but..

I'm a sponsor, a KB user, a paying spectator, and a NZ Motorcycling race fan.

Three of those, NZ Motorcycling needs in spades! As you were!!!!

Achievement is not always success while reputed failure often is. It is honest endeavor, persistent effort to do the best possible under any and all circumstances.

    Well said.
I feel ashamed of (some of ) the NZ racing fraternity when I read alot of the dribble that goes down here, and just hope that fellow racers from other countries aren't reading the self indulgent crap that gets posted.

    Yes mam,

Absolutely agree and as one of the worst perpetrators,I will not be drawn into the public arena with the childish like behaviour I have displayed in the last few days and I apologise unreservedly too Scrivy for any comments I have made that have offended him.My only defence would be my competitive spirit and a wish too see our sport move forward.

My only request would be that Jim Tuckerman and his helpers behind the scenes are left too get on with the job at hand and that the experts (No Scrivy not directed sloley at you)Take up their complaints and concerns through the appropriate channels at MNZ,The sport is in a far bigger mess than most of us realise and these people most of whom are volunteers need all the input they can get to sort it out.Again I apologise for my actions in recent days.

Your quite right of course TGW, but competative people talking about what they are passionate about are going to vent be that at the circuit, during the prize giving or on a forum such as this.
Its Wednesday now and the pace has slowed down and no doubt be all over done and dusted by the weekend.

People need to vent and I can think of far worse places for it to be done than on an internet forum.

    That's big of you Billy.
I also apologise to the members of KB that do not like seeing dirty laundry aired on this site.
However......... I still insist that anyone on this site can have a differing view on any matter - but when it comes to MNZ - pro MNZ members should not 'witch hunt' those of differing views.

My example is Bryce Meads. I have never seen him race - but I will stick up for him (and anyone else on KB) if I feel they are being unfairly persecuted by MNZ - or anyone else. You Billy did accuse me of not getting the facts, when numerously I told you I called the Meads's (several times) to get the details myself. Only when Drew told you did you listen to him over me. That I feel is a shame. All I stated on that thread was that MNZ did not follow due process. Period.

As for taking up complaints and concerns through the appropriate channels at MNZ - yes, there are several to-ing and fro-ing at this present time. That is also why I'd like certain members on KB to back off on matters that I have not discussed on KB yet, nor wish to do so.
I do not like being accused of a hidden agenda, as I do not have one. I haven't raced the Nationals for the past 2 years, so why would I care? Because I and many others belong to an Association (set up about 35 years ago) that loves the sport. Certain people are trying to undermine that association, even threatening to start up another one. Does that rile me? Well actually, yes it does. Is any of this good for our sport??? NO!!
Politics (as I have said repeatedly) on KB is killing our sport.
It is not my intention to get involved in a shit fight on KB with anyone- but I will always feel compelled to correct any mistruths that are directed at any KB members.

Oh, and I too have spent an awful lot of money recently on our sport in the way of the TRRS. I do not gain anything from it other than seeing the satisfaction and approval of others. So I do have a vested interest in the sport.

    I agree fully!

Does this forum have a moderator??

Imagine being able to have a productive conversation like adults and try and improve our sport!!

I know a lot of you have known each other for years and like to wind each other up but is this the place to do it???

Maybe we need someone from MNZ to be a moderator.........................

I havent commented on any of recent posts as i niether know/have seen or been involved with any of the incidents.
But as i see it NZ road racing needs a BIG KICKUP THE ARSE in general. I love the sport i will continue to be involved and put up with whatever happens...............but as soon as our team is ready and able we will be off to Oz and beyond.
I have been involved with bike racing for many years in the UK both road racing and drag racing and there is always politics and bitching but NZ has it down to a fine art.
You call us "the whinging poms" but NZers are masters a moaning about things , but never seeking a solution........imho
I hope the new commision can improve things...........the members have a wealth of experience, lets hope they can use past problems to pave a way forward........and if so lets hope MNZ will listen.
There is too much altering and changing/half-hearted decision making and general lack of direction at present for it to work properly. This starts at the top and filters down to club and individual level. A solution/hard & fast rules& ruling needs to be properly sorted and implemented...............it wont suit all..........tough........as long as it suits the majority........ and is effective........ if you are still not happy find another hobby.

These decisions should be sort by the right people at the right opportunity.................. what goes on here or any internet forum may help to raise issues and concerns of the general audience but in the end shouldn,t have any bearing on the "right" decisions.
It is good to hear peoples comments and ideas...............long may it continue.

Yes Glen,Bloody good idea,Problem being that most of the people involved with MNZ are volunteers and are kept busy enough,Trying too get the day to day stuff done. But your right atleast then we would have some sort of parity.
