The best incentive for guy to quit smoking is sex. Much better and more often. And I guarantree your partner will notice the difference too.

As for the ladies can not comment on the sex as I am not one but take a look at a fifty woamn year old who smokes as against one who does not................then ask your self who do you want to look like??

Hell yeah, I gave up to preserve my good looks.

In all serious though, Smoking just destroys a woman's looks, then they plaster makeup all over their shriveled face thinking that'ill fix it, then the putrid stick of cancer goes back in the mouth....

You won't be able to do it. You don't hate smoking enough, and you're not angry enough to want to change it.

    Or are you?

I sugested exactly this to my best mate just 5 weeks ago.

He has been smoke free for 19 days now and is the proud new owner of a 1098s Tri-colour Ducati.

Goof stuff Dane. I quit after reading Alan Carr's "Easyway to quit smoking' and he reckons that using $$ as the primary reason won't do it long-term. Do you remember in "Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkhaban" how Harry has to think of a really happy thought in order to perform that 'petronis' spell? Well that's gotta be you with quitting. Do it for yourself and the $$ is a nice aside.

    Cheers

P.S: might be down in Welly on 20/21 April. See you then

Good for you mate - take the $330 spend $250 a month on a bike and you still have money free for whores ......... just don't get adicted to them too!

I'll be here all evening giving out excellent advice.

Most smokers over 35 give up. Those that dont start to look real tired, in my book. The collagen in the skin collapses, which you can see, however the collagen in your internal organs does the same.

Because, the money I used to spend on smokes goes elsewhere now, just not on smokes, I dont have a growing bank balance just because I gave up smoking.
You dont save money by not smoking, you just dont spend it on smokes.

And another myth they spray themselves with lashings of perfume in the misguided beliefe that they smell sexy. Like, even the most expensive perfumes are incapable of destroying nicotene smells.

I read the Alan Carr book and went from 80 grams a week to having a 30 gram last me and my missus the last 5 weeks.

Although I haven't totally "given up" I am proud that smoking doesn't dominate me any more. The main reason I gave up was because I wasn't enjoying it anymore. I was sick of having to continually do something I didn't enjoy. Health was not really my main motivation although with the money I would have saved in 2 years I can get myself a decent bike (5k) without having to cut back anywhere else.

I only smoke when I'm drinking or when I catch up with my old mates (every wed). But I don't even get cravings now and I can go a week without one without even thinking about it.

It's been about 3 months so far and I'm not any happier but I feel more normal. I feel a lot more fit. And I don't have to go into the servo twice a week and hand over close to 40 bucks.

    Read the book.
