The display is flashing, electric start doesn't work but the display still flashes when I have the capacitor installed instead of battery too, so I'm a bit confused

Check there's no wires touchin the frame! Lol that's what happened when I went to do my handle bar swap and that's what screwed the battery/display.

Sounds about right! Im thinking about the paint job, probably do a nice black or a white, not sure yet, just something that is easy to touch up when i bin it (which will most likely be every month with my current track record)

Capacitor in the right way? Might pop if it's in the wrong way though.

Yep us aucklanders can't ride a bike unless it has the tacho and shift indicator working. Of course he could be trying to keep it road legal.

Scot, if you still need a dash let me know and I'll drag one along to Mt Welly on the weekend. It's one of the few bits I pulled off my bike as being unneccesary that I can still find. I really need to clean out my garage one of these days.
