Funny looking old green thing in my driveway.

No not my old TL,On my way back from the bike racing in Methven today i noticed this thing a k or so up the road from my turn-off parked up bonnet up with 2 blokes trying to remedy something,an hour later i thought bugger it no work tommorow had a great ride why not go down the takeaway and get some Bourbon, poor buggers were still at it up the road so went and asked them if they needed any tools etc, they were hopeful of getting going so i departed leaving them my addy in case they needed anything,a bourbon or 2 later a knock at the door with a request to leave it down my driveway for the night as they were out of towners so here she sits,a 1942 Willys Jeep, feel sorry for any soldiers back in the day that had to push it round in the mud as i was fair knackered by the time we pushed it up my driveway, still seems i earnt my Bourbon.

Not much to go wrong with those old girls, they are worth a small fortune these days, yep like alot of milatary gear of that era comfort was a last consideration.
The American army dug big holes and buried quiet a few around the country, no idea of what they would be like after 70 yrs under ground, most are buried where they will never be dug up again.
