You're a complete fool to get on a strange bike, in a strange area and ride without a brain bucket at the very least.
The fact that it was unwarranted and unregistered means it could've been sitting for a while. what sort of condition could the throttle brake cables be in? what sort of shit could be lurking in the carb and jam the throttle on?

I'd say you got off lightly
'Sfunny, back in the '70s,when helmets were optional,I can't ever remember actually seeing a red smear on the road.
They must have been better riders back then.

'Facts' I think you will find.
Which are as follows ..''The bike's rego wasn't valid anymore and it had no wof either. I was tired and I just forgot to grab my helmet''

Then he comes on here expecting sympathy for his obvious stupidity and 'lets bash the cops'!
Didnt go the way he thought it would and now hes off sulking.

what I was trying to get across was that the cops hear lies and excuses on on a daily basis so need to just act on procedure really. Shit he got off with no reg or wof, maybe the thread shoulda been titled " Haha got away with 2 tickets today".

Who here would rather the cops got a lot more blaise about road safety issues? remember that there would then be more idiots on the road running into us.

And if he doesn't want people to comment how they feel , then why did he post it on an internet forum? ?????????

So he forgot his helmet (his own responsibility, doesn't affect you), and its wof/rego had ran out so all of the sudden he's a menace?
As all the 250 riders seem to be saying, I guess he'd better sort his riding out before he does something worse

If you are going to quote me, quote the whole lot mate.
It was you saying earlier about taking things out of context.
What he did was wrong, coming on here expecting back up was an even wronger thing (yes I know wronger is not a real word)

    I get very miffed at individuals that toot from 'behind'... Either back off or chill out IMO. The tooter normally makes irrational mistakes which have far worse consequences. ;
No you completely mis-interpreted the situation. He stopped, we sat there, I tooted (I did'nt lean on the horn....just a beep) He looked at me, I tooted again and he realised why and went.

Absolutely nothing wrong with that.......I know police make mistakes. You completely missed my point. I'm not digging at cops, or the driver, merely stating that i'd tooted and the cop carried on, as in cops are normal human beings......ie, not arseholes, in response to the op......

I dunno how I gave the impression that i'd done anything other than that. It's not like I flew up behind him and got all aggressive.

Oh yeah, IMO if you cannot handle a friendly toot from behind you when you are unwittingly blocking a lane, perhaps you are the one who needs to chill out.

I took nothing out of context, I just replied to a specific part of your post.

The title of this thread has got me thinking about police head quarters.

It is generally accepted within the job that they can often fail to "get it right."

However for some time now they have had a policy of police officers reflecting the community they police, and your initial post and subsequent ones has proven they this policy is a success.

I think the police definitely need to give out more warnings (ie on file) because it causes a lot of hate towards police for things someone would never do again with a warning.
An obvious one is the helmet one. If he's got a big list of previous fines obviously he's got no disrespect for the law but if he's got 1 speeding ticket a talking to and written warning would have the same affect without the resentment!

Really you should know that the horses are a lot higher than average on here.

How can you tell which are the new riders?

No its not you moron. I was riding a motorcross bike offroad. Go and get your facts straight, before you try to make excuses for doing some really stupid shit. With a comeback like that, is obvious that you thinks its ok to be a dumbarse. If it was not for dickheads with attitudes like that, the road would be a safe place to be. If I see some moron on a motorcycle doing obviously stupid and dangerous riding. I'm quite happy to wipe them out with my van, if they get in the way. However if I see motorcyclists having fun in a relatively safe way, I'll just wave. There are too many retards here that think that they can do what they want, when they want, on a motorcycle. Then some said retards come and bleat about being caught out, by the NZ Police. The reality of the situation is, you do the crime you do the time. Sounds like some people here just need to grow up.

You're talking out of your ass, especially considering that your signature is not quite on the same page with your post.

I see that I've started some kind of shit storm. Somehow, everybody loves the cops and got really infuriated by the fact that i've called the Auckland cops assholes. it's probably my mistake. I thought I was on a biker forum but I am clearly on some sort of PRO POLICE FORUM: whatever you do, do not diss Mr. Plod.

Considering that quite a few that have replied on this thread have bragged about their own antics (much more serious than riding helmetless to the corner and back) or complained about unfaireness of the police many times, I think this is very hypocritical. But that's ok. If you don't get any other satisfaction in life than talking bollocks here, be my guests: keep sucking your own dicks until they fall off, I don't mind.
Hahahahahahahaha!!!! You really expect to be taken seriously after posting that load of maggot manure? I don't know what world you live in, but mine is called reality. Like it or not, your the one who is talking out of their own arse. Grow up boy!
Those who insist on perfect safety, don't have the balls to live in the real world.
