    Shinko super moto tyres?

I have aquired a Shinko Super Moto 160/60/17 (M/C 69V) racing slick. Well it actually came with the ZXR400 race bike I bought. Its brand new and I'm contemplating what to do with it. What I want to know is, are they designed specifically for motard use and does anyone know how they fair on the likes of my 400? Any one tried these before and how do they perform? Cheers

I used them on my '94 cbr600, to be honest I dont rate them, The profile is quite flat and from memory they were not that special, Did not like the front tyre, and went about 4 seconds quicker on a set of secondhand dunlop GPA 10. Just my 2c.
Wouldn't be racing if it wasn't for:MotoMart, Pirelli, EBC Brakes, Ripecoffee.co.nz, Slotmedia.co.nz, Totalbodyshop.co.nz and Wurth

    Says it all really........
Replace it with something you DO have confidence with, and flick it off to somebody who wants a cheap slick.

Even if it is a great tyre, the mare fact you are on here asking about it will play on your mind, and you won't like it in any case....

Oh, and they are Super Moto... Not Super Motard. Moto is a word used to describe Race.

They where the control tyre in the Aussy series at one stage, cant be all bad.
But for Motards Dunlops or Michelins or Metzlers are the way to go.

Nah...cost me fuck all extra. My post was what some of us call either sarcasm, or taking the piss out of your own self. Try it sometime. For the record though...I've won a shitload of road races on dirt bikes round street circuits. How 'bout you?

I knew I should have been a fisherman, I was just messing with ya.
I am not that good on street circuits, only got 3rd at Paeroa, but got a shiney TT trophy at Hampton Downs.
