    Tether Kill Switches

What is the kosher construction of a tether kill switch? Can you buy them to fit?

I couldn't find anything, so fashioned one out of a 3.5mm mono jack and socket some time ago, works a treat, but will that get through scrutineering? I can't see any rules to the contrary.

yeah that would be fine, from experiance the cheap ass brought ones can ruin meetings........ Best to make them using quality components. As long as what ever you use it kills the engine its all good!!

Tether Kill Switches, are they a requirement on Buckets? or is it something they do down South? I have not seen them used up here at Mt Welly.

They are only required for street racing. Untill you get buckets at Paeroa ans Wangavegas you should be fine

Yeah I just played with it for fun, 'cause I was messing with the wiring anyway, and then noticed the Methven thing this weekend required them, being street race, so wondered if there was official gear about for doing it.

I can confirm the jack works a treat, whether it would still work while drenched could be something though, might need a wee boot over it.
