Looking for a 2 stroke mechanic in Christchurch

A mate of mine has just gotten hold of an NSR250 for a bargain price. It been off the roads for a while and it needs a few bits and pieces like a chain, front brake lever, fairings, windscreen etc and a good tune up. Can any of you recommend a reasonably priced mechanic that knows a bit on how to tune a 2 stroke? And where would be a good place to get parts for it other than Trademe?

    Try www.justfairings.co.nz for, uh, fairings.

Chain (and sprockets, he might as well do them at the same time as I'm guessing they're just as worn as the rest of the bike) and brake lever you can easily get from the likes of Pit Lane on Manchester or Budget Spares on Wilsons Rd.

As far as a reasonably priced mechanics, you get what you pay for and a two stroke wants to be tuned by someone who knows what they are doing. Duane at DBS on Waterloo Rd is one of the best bike mechanics in town, and no doubt knows his way around a two stroke very well as he also srevices jetskis. You've got nothing to lose by talking to him.
