    Custom Leda one-piece suit UNCRASHED

    Gidday,

This suit was from my 2008 season, and were custom made for me by LEDA leathers of Upper Hutt. If anyone has seen or used any of Dusty's work before, you will no just how good quality they are! They were a tribute to my old mans racing leathers from a few decades ago, so they are a bit retro (cool?). It also has my name and number on it, so unless you are called Jay and are number 37, you may want to have this removed - which would be easy to someone who works with leather, I am told. The logos "Continental", "Kawasaki" and "Museum Hotel" are removable too. I asked to be able to move in it, so it has heaps of strech panel - I never felt restricted in my movement like I have in other suits. It also has extra large velcro pieces on the knee, so you can put the kneesliders exactly where you want them. It has armour in the knees, extra padding around the hips, and armour in the elbows and shoulders.

I did 7 rounds in this suit, and haven't used it since that season. The suit was never crashed. It has a nice mesh lining keeping you cool, and making it easy to move around in. Though it is sewn in I always used a separate liner so it is nice and clean

Im no flyweight, so there is a bit of room for guts and back protectors, although this was from when I was a wee bit smaller than I am now, to anyone who knows me. I'm 172cm tall, and have a bit of room to move in them.

The only damage to the suit is where I wore off the knee slider a bit and have put a small hole just in the velro only at one of the knees - see the photo.

If you were to purchase without trying and they didn't fit, I would be happy to take them back within 7days, less some shipping. If you are around here (Christchurch) you are most welcome to come round to my place and try them on.

I am asking $500 ONO for this suit.

    Cheers, Jay

    Still avalible!

I have just got a road bike, so I would also be very keen for trades on any two piece leathers, perhaps cash diff but it would have to be my way cos I'm broke now Bikes are great, wallets allergic though - bugger!

If anybody has doubts, I can vouch for Leda's quiality craftsmanship. He made me a pair of leather pants and a couple of years later after daily usage (I even commute in them) I'm still congratulating myself for having them made by him rather than buying from the shop. The fit is perfect and the quality is really good. I even recognise his type of knee slider velcro on your photos - my pants have the same large velcro area which is great.

    Hey mate,

Suit is still avalible. I'm up in Wellington at the moment for the nationals round here, so I will get back to you with dimentions and sizes for the suit when I get back to Christchurch mid next week and can check it, that all good?

Been OK so far. No long rides to heat it way up though. Can see hwere people are coming from though. Maybe I'll get more annoyed at the shock when I get a chance to ride it faster

As a bump for your leathers mate...if anyone here is looking for a fantastic set...and you fit Jays...buy them. I tasted tar dozens of times in my set of Leda's, and they're much bettera than good.
