    Buckle them in for *****sake!

There has been a lot in the news latley about people not buckling , or restraing their kids properly in vehicles. And to be honest it is the one thing that really gets up my nose is seeing kids standing on the back seats etc.

So on Saturday I was on the bike and entering the mnotorway at Mt Wellington, I pulled up beside a car and low and behold this little asian kid standing on the back seat. Now I am by nature not very confrontational, but I was really pissed. So I tapped on the womens window, she is asian , and tell her to strap the kid in.............she promptly tells me to luck off, and flicks a cigerette but at me,.........and it is none of my business, which I suppose it isnt. But as she takes off from the lights she swerves into my lane in some half hearted attempt to knock me off. NOw I am really pissed, untill I hear the siren! Yep , there was a cop in mufty behind us and he saw the whole thing , he pulls her over and I also stop. I tell him what happens , and leave it to him.

HIs last words to me wher 'She in the shit now"..............oh and nice bike by the way!

Finally , A cop around when you need one!

I hope you stated you wanted to press charges for attempted murder?........

Great story showing that sometimes taking the time to get involved can pay off!! Can you help me to get an adult I know to safety belt themselves when in a car!

Man, I'd love to hear her 'justifying' it to her friends.
"So there I was, minding my own business, and some filthy biker comes up and tells me to obey the law! Obviously I tell him to get lost and try to knock him off his bike, then some arsehole cop pulls me over! Can you believe it?"

I'm with you on this one, my gf and I were discussing this just this afternoon, it is so common.

Being school holidays we noticed 3 darlings frolicking in cars while walking down the road!
Do these parents just not care about their off spring or is it more of the Kiwiw she'll-be-right attirude, can't be you spied an Asian doing it....not only is it so dangerous it must also be quite a distraction to have children bouncing around the car!

Geez, there's been a whole heap of 'cops when you need them' stories lately. It's awesome
I hope the idiot gets done for dangerous driving and failing to ensure her youth passenger is restrained and not just a warning. I also hope her WOF and rego had run out and she gets stung for it. I also hope she'll buckle her kid in in the future and that the kid doesn't get the blame and get belted by the stupid biatch
Good thing you're not a psycho Raftn. Others may not have taken kindly to the ciggie getting flicked at them and may have retaliated with boots to doors or removing mirrors and then been in a whole heap of shit with the mufti cop!

Edit: I just read what I wrote - man, I hope for a lot of things

Just a thought, you know how we have these teddy bear rides,... why can't we have the "spot the unstrapped kid ride"... bang on the window, I am sure 30 odd or even a 100 bikers would put the shit up any mum & dad and get their baby strapped in...

Well done for telling her to buckle her child in even if it did fall on deaf ears. I hope she gets her well deserves and has her child taken of her as she is nothing more than an irresponsible parent. And as for her trying to knock you off your bike I hope the cop that saw it throws the book at her Big Time. Who needs idiots like that on our roads?.

Asian cop as well eh ?

How things have changed though. As a kid I remember traveling on the parcel shelf of my old mans Triumph 2000, the same car he was proud to show us would hit 100mph. Didn't crash, not a problem. A bit like riding in shorts and t-shirt. Wouldn't do it myself, but if someone wants to then fair play to them.

Nice job Roger, Indian family next door pay ultimate price for not strapping they only 6yo son Lovedeep , he die as family wagon flip on motorway just last month under Omerston rd and there were only going from Papatoetoe to Takanini, it was in Herold and news.
Asian bitch be in shit but she got of lightly compare to next door and is shame that anyone gets treated like that as trying to fix some idiots wrong doing. I have to say if that was me, mufti will have to deal with me cos I will smash her car first, then drag her out of it and shower that cigarette up her .....
This is very common for foreigners , bringing bad habits to NZ ( I'm foreign so I know ) not that NZ's are perfect .
I will knock on any car window that I see lose kids waving at me !!!

    Nice one mate!
oh and nice bike by the way !
