Was coming back from Paraparaumu via Piecock hill on Labour weekend when we got to a bit of the road where people where flashing furiously at us, and waving their hands, sadly I wasn't going fast enough to be worried, but just up ahead was a mufti car with a radar gun so if I had been speeding I would have considered myself very lucky to be warned....

That they are mate, exspeciay on long runs via the interstate. (or SH1 here in NZ) Must be something to do with being a group of peaple that are on the road for hours on end.

Perfection is not something you should ever attain, but something to always strive for. For if we actually achieve our idea of perfection, is it then any longer perfect?

I've decided that flashing is not enough any more - i've started mooning. Flipping the leg over to the pillion pegs and dropping the dacks at oncoming traffic.
Just be careful you don't get the leatherman caught on remount.

    yeah i flash.

Used to, but stopped about 12 years back. I figure people need to learn by their mistakes, and if you go nursing them along the whole time, they may never learn.

I grew up and learned to drive when this was the norm, and for me at least nothing has changed. A little bit of courtesy still goes a long way on the roads and when no-one gives a rats arse any more about the other road users we will all be that much poorer for it.
We also used to flash people to warn of any other hazards like cattle or accidents on the road. Just polite really.

"If you can't laugh at yourself, you're just not paying attention!"
"There is no limit to dumb."
