A bunch of (unarmed) angry bikers turning up with the intent to bash someone is no different to what he did.

Anyway, my jibes are only half tongue-in-cheek. There's an excellent chance someone like that would present a much more serious weapon than a baseball bat - particularly when at their home.

I suspect a Judge and the media (just to name two) would say that its very different Steve. Society tends to take a very dim view of organising lynch mobs for several very good reasons... (one of them being they eventually target society itself)

There is NO POSSIBLE version that this dickhead could ever come up with that would come remotely close to justifying his actions in this or any other scenario.....

THIS WAS NO CLIP ON THE EAR!!!!!

It was a CLOSED FIST aimed directly at a face that was thrown with enough force to draw blood and then, without hesitation and without ANY show of violence towards him, pulled a WEAPON out of the door of his car and was ready to cause SERIOUS DAMAGE to someone.

Whether it was a perfectly safe overtake or it was the worst driver ever, going like a maniac (definately not in this case!) is completely IRRELEVANT.

NO EXCUSE, NO JUSTIFICATION - this guy needs to be locked up!

I still say it would be interesting to hear his version of events and his take on the scenario and I still say that hunt him down now would probably result in more pain for the hunter than the hunted.

Also, I never said his version of events would justify anything.
