Was a damn good ride to day, thanks Carla.
The Bonnie was getting pushed to its limit at times today and what a great bunch of riders we have on these rides

Thanks Carla for organising yet another fantastic ride! As per usual first class company and gorgeous roads. I'm buzzing - that was such a blast. Thank was a bloody good ride back Denis, thanks for playing!
And John - you are welcome. Happy Birthday mate (belated)!
Thanks Carla for organising an excellent day, welll done, always a pleasure to ride with you and our group, couldn't wish for a nicer group of people.
Good times eh? nice to catch up with the usual suspects and meet a couple of new ones. Always a few laughs when this lot get together. This weeks job is to get a new back tyre...one too many slippery moments today...
Experience......something you get just after you needed it
A few snaps...
The full ride sounds exellent folks. The half ride just fitted perfect for the day and other arrangements, great to see such a good turn out of bikers of all sorts enjoying the ride and company. Thanks Q.![]()
Thanks Carla for organizing the cool ride today
The GPS on the bike said 396 km total from start to finish for me here in Waikanae
Must say the burger at Riversdale was a bloody good feed
Has anyone else found the Rimutakas always seems to have a white long wheelbase van that holds up all traffic or is it just me
Great day with a great bunch of riders. Always a good laugh to be had
ARRRGH!
This is NOT what I wanted to hear! I took the mighty Maverick down to see you guys off so I wouldnt be tempted to go 'just' to the top of the hill etc etc... I was secretly hoping it would rain (dammit)..
On the other hand - I joined the Raumati sth residents assoc in planting out over 2,000 trees around a local wetland (I've planted around 7,000 now one way or another) so it was worth missing a ride for. Even managed a kayak this evening for a fish (no fish - just caught the same stupid shark about 7 bloody times - it had more holes in it than a sieve....)
Glad you guys had a great ride! Kapiti ROCKS!
so..... anyone up for a mid year, mid winter Kapiti party???
Jeepers, looks like an awesome turn-out and I missed out on a great ride.
Decided to give up todays ride to visit an old friend on the coast whom I hadn't seen for at least six years. He recently joined this forum so I need to get him out on these riders.
Still managed to do a few kays today and with (by the looks of it) all Wellington bikers over the hill in the Wairarapa I had free reign of the Paekakariki Hill.
Hey guys and gals. What an awesome ride, what a fantastic group of people and a lovely way to farewell autumn. Thanks Viv, Ross and the Red rooster for your great points skills. Kept us all en route and all together.
I failed miserably as TEC, lost the tail enders before even leaving Martinborough, and then lost the last group completely after leaving the Gladdy. My only excuse is that they were too slow.
Looking forward to the next ride and Vivs girlie expedition on the forgotten highway
as soon as my schedule is less crowded I will join you guys again. I've been way too busy with uni, even spending weekends from morning till evening here..![]()
