Great that you all had a good day, was'nt the weather fantastic.
Dukegirl and myself called into the Pram Mobil at 9.00am, a bit to early buy the looks.
Went up to Masterton to look at a bike up there. So we desided to keep heading North, not to waste a good day.
Route was. Dreyers rock, Alfredton,Pongaroa, Wimbleton (for Lunch) Porangahau, Waipukurau. Then back Hatuma Ormondville, Ashurst and home.
Roads were in good nick, no traffic, and worries about the 104klms hr tickets, only trouble with doing that road at this time of year is the SUN, riding into it all day is pretty tough going, and lots of corners wet in the shade.
Hope to catch up with you guys soon, but i do like the longish rides.
Totaly agree Gareth 51, always new it was the Mobil, don't now how the Railway station got into it.
hey Denis plan it for next weekend can always cancel if weather is crap
I second that, will I manage this route?
And keep your minds out of the gutter![]()
ok time for some choices
will it be SH4 up to Raetihi then across to Ohakune or feilds track and whangaehu valley rd
Spooners hill rd is something different for coming into Taihape
And what about turning off at Mangaweka and coming through Rangiwahia or is it Vinegar Hill
Just a couple of options whadda ya reckon
OK, Will need an early start, say 9-30am at the whorehouse carpark coastlands, this will put us on right side of highway to head Nth, cofee at Sanson, on to Anzac Dve and regroup prior to Paraparas, regroup at Ratahi or Raratonga if u get lost or miss a turn of, talk about the return there as it would be time sensitive.
Sanson!! do people still go through there, usually by pass that by taking speedy rd
BP station at roundabout on Anzac Dr good place to regroup
Well we can miss cofee at sanson and partake at ohakune, satate ur preference
