Great ride on a great day. Cheers for letting me tag along. I needed that ride more than I realised. Made me feel very human again. Thanks all.

Well, what a great day. I turned up to waikanae at about quater to one expecting to see about half a dozen bikes, but what a suprise to see I dont know but maybe 20 25 bikes (who did the count?). Weather was good, the kapiti wind was not present. Off we went. It is always a great thing being with a group of bikes and hearing them all take off...all those pistons screaming in harmony! The Paekakariki Hill is always good, but today it just felt better. Although I think it should be called the Peacockariki hill...how many spotted that roast on the side of the road...cranberry sauce anyone?
Whitmans valley, what a great road, I loved it and is another one to mark on the map, although by the looks of things it's days may be numbered as it stands...The cafe was a beaut place, and as a typical scrooge I can say great bang for the buck...The prices were excellent, and the food was not too bad either...Although a trio of us overshot it whilst perving up horses arses...
As for the ride home, great roads, great company, but a shame about all the equine holdups...
On a scale of grin factor today was a 10.5 out of 10
I got a wave or 2 and even a smile!

Funnily enough - we got big cheery thank you from the lovies on those horsies...
The guzzi bit - erm - loud so we shut the throttle and coast past. I've seen what happens in a bike vs large beast encounter, horses are worth giving a wiiiiddddeee berth. Cars hurt but dont tend to kick the shite out of you trying to get up.
yep - us at the back also got cheery waves and smiles. They definitely appreciated the fact the we all slowed right down, throttled off.
yeah gave me some nice clear roads for saving the wear on the front end

Watch out for overly emotional village idiots Carla.

The (dis)honorable Nick Smith, when you speak all I can hear is
BULLSHIT!! BULLSHIT!! BULLSHIT!! BULLSHIT!! BULLSHIT!! BULLSHIT!! BULLSHIT!!
So please fuck off and die.
Go Go, Ninja Dinosaur!!
Hahaha you'd look GREAT in a skirt Cam! Thanks, I really feel that course helped me out greatly. I guess having a tiny tiny bike like mine makes for easy manouvering (sorry, I'm a shocking speller!).
No really, I feel just awesome after today. I have never met such kind, fun and caring people before - never expected them all to be bikers! Think I have found my new family![]()
You were supposed to ride around them bro, not aim AT them! Hey great to see you again today mate. Good ride. Not my best hill ride today but hey, returning to work has killed my chances to ride regularly. I might do some short rides back and forth with the odd coffee at Pauatahanui.
