I'm back...and ready for a ride. Castlepoint sounds just the ticket!!! There is a cafe as part of the general store there...and a petrol pump....from memory.
Karla...did you have the route planned?

better put up a meeting time and place then and then see who comes out of the woodwork
Well....it seemed like a good idea at the time....
Great - looks like we have some takers!
Now... what time should we head out? Perhaps an 11.15am meet up at summit? So, leave from the Rimutex by 11am? Too late? Im in one of those "I can't bloody decide moods".
How is that sounding my friends?
Given that it is a reasonably long ride, I suggest leaving a bit earlier. hows 10.30 from Rimutex??
O.K - sounds good to me, I just always feel bad form dragging "certain" people to a meeting point any hour in the AM
I'll be at the Rimutex ready to leave by 10.30am - so for folks meeting at the summit, we should be arriving around 10.45am ish.
Kapiti folk.. not sure what time for you to meet up?
And Masterton Mobil North end around 11:30 ish for a wee top up before the run to the coast![]()
Well....it seemed like a good idea at the time....

Not sure if he was a member but a V Max rider, Mike Thomas from Raumati, died last weekend from complications after a recent motorcycle accident. His funeral is tomorrow 11:30 am, Saturday, at the funeral home just over the railway line in Paraparaumu. They are then taking him to the crematorium in Waikanae and his widow wanted some form of escort for him, sort of Buzz him off.
If anyone is able or knew him and is willing then I am sure his widow would be please. A mate of mine, Ross, will be there on his Harley as he knows the widow from his work, but not Mike.
Cheers
