And ? LOl Col just clinched it for me, see ya's there !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

Great ride yesterday. Good bunch of people and some really nice bikes.

Managed to get my new pipes on in time (even though they were overshadowed by the TL1000 with the unbaffled pipes - now they were loud), was running about 10 mins late and saw you all go past on the other side of the road - just outside of waikanae - so quick u turn and caught back up with you all. Really glad I made it as it was a great relaxed ride at each persons preferred pace. Plus I finally got to ride the blue mountains road.

Big thanks to Cam for organizing the ride.

    Question trainer wheels

What another stunning day on the road. After the grin producing ride that Cam organised yesterday, I was worried that today might not exceed the expectations. The Coasties put together a great team of riders, I found a few from the Rapa and we all converged at the Western Lake turnoff at Featherston to do the lake ride. We even managed to waylay the lovely Gareth and Sels, and keep them from going home to do their lawns. Sorry guys - but trust me - the lawns and chores will always keep.

Western Lake road is such a nice road, beautiful native bush, great sweeping corners and those looooong straights that just beg the pony to be whipped to something way faster then a gallop. And we all did whip our ponies to a frenzy – all falling behind the gorgeous Paula who was at the end before we had barely left the startline. WooHoo she ride fast!! And i am wondering how any of us are going to be able to keep up with Katie when she moves up a few CC's. Great riding girl

A nice relaxing lunch at the Ferry hotel, in fact so relaxing Marty had to have a few zzzzzz’s at the table. We learnt all about Col's trainer wheels and other handy attachments to be had for the Wing. I am sure Ducati make similar essential attachments!

Then off to my other “local” – the Gladdy. Bianca was team leader and kept us moving along at a nice brisk pace through the Longbush twisties. This is also another great road – why would anyone want to play on the Taka’s when there all these other places that have so much more charm and speed. And so few cars (and not a toyota starlet to be seen)

We all had a quick drink at the Gladdy – then it really was time to let the Coastie Kids go home to all the boring things they had been able to put aside for a few hours. Apart from Sinny – who long ago had decided to give up boring stuff all together. he just plays with his bikes, drinks and falls out of planes.

Was a great weekend for riding and catching up with old and new friends. Thanks Gals and Guys. Off to clean the bugs out of….everything.

Thanks Quasi for a great day. Those roads are so lovely out that way. I was giggling at the back when I saw the gap between me and the group increse by the second. But pleased I didn't completely get lost from the pack. ......Just.... need.... to..... accellerate. No really, had a blast thanks to all.

Feel very satisfied, what a great weekend.

Thanks Cam for organizing the great ride yesterday
I think we all had a smile on our faces somewhere on the ride. Watching that guy pull the front wheel up and cruising down the road was a blast for me. Joking with the waitress and coffee maker at The Straw Cafe about ordering the biggest flat white they had and they then deliver you a soup bowl full of the stuff you know your almost in heaven.
Great bunch of different bikes and people which made a nice afternoon outing
Catch ya at the next one

Damn, looks like I missed a good ride today.
Should have skipped spending the day building bike trails thru the bush.
