If it was required it would come out standard. Save your money.
I'm sure all those Early Jap Superbike owners would agree. Steering dampeners are a safety issue on some bikes.Originally Posted by LED
The reason they don't come out as standard on some bikes is they make the bike cost more.
Its a Fireblade - way outside average joes road riders ability - it would kick ass - if it was dangerous there would have been a recall!!
R1's never came out with dampers (and they didnt get re-called!), now every 2nd one on the road has had one fitted. The pre-96 blades have a 16 inch front wheel and a 17 rear which can make it very twitchy (and hard to find good tyres). Thanks for that link garry, sent a pm but i'd say its already sold, I'll have to ring round some wreckers during the week and find something that can pretty much bolt straight on.
Sorry this one is sold, i bought it for racing my gixxer...Originally Posted by Garry H

Hmmm TEMPTED! will it be a mission to find the gear to fit it??
probably, personally i wouldnt bother... just go for a Daytona steering damper... be easier to save up the $$ over the next few weeks and get one brand new...Originally Posted by FOZ
