    WANTED: STEERING DAMPER

    Im after a second hand steering damper that can be fitted on a 95 Fireblade.
    Nothing over $300. If anyone knows of anyone/anywhere that is selling one, please send them in my direction. Cheers

    I'm sure all those Early Jap Superbike owners would agree. Steering dampeners are a safety issue on some bikes.

    The reason they don't come out as standard on some bikes is they make the bike cost more.

    Its a Fireblade - way outside average joes road riders ability - it would kick ass - if it was dangerous there would have been a recall!!

    R1's never came out with dampers (and they didnt get re-called!), now every 2nd one on the road has had one fitted. The pre-96 blades have a 16 inch front wheel and a 17 rear which can make it very twitchy (and hard to find good tyres). Thanks for that link garry, sent a pm but i'd say its already sold, I'll have to ring round some wreckers during the week and find something that can pretty much bolt straight on.

    probably, personally i wouldnt bother... just go for a Daytona steering damper... be easier to save up the $$ over the next few weeks and get one brand new...
