The pace was fine for me. I guess that it doesn't really matter how fast or slow, so long that the group has the opportunity to catch up and people are prepared to wait for the slower riders. The stops we had allowed this to happen.
Some days it's not even worth chewing through the restraints.

Next time I will have to change the title to medium pace ride.
I wonder if trying to define the pace is actually the wrong idea? It seemed to me that the group divided up quite nicely into different pace groups without the competitive edge that you sometimes see on group rides (I admit I wasn't at the front though).

Maybe the term should be "cruise", implying you go at the speed at which you're comfortable?

Good idea, as long as there is enough people in each 'group' ie not 1 slow guy like me and then 15 fast guys, or 1 fast guy and 15 slow guys etc
but for each ride should just split into fast medium slow groups, that way all can go and all can enjoy

Yep! Thanks a lot! Did you also say the chain was loose? I dunno if this is it but when im riding around i can hear a .. 'clanking' sound, as if some bit of metal is hitting another bit, dunno if this is normal but hmm only happens sometimes so i dunno

but yeh the suspension is a lot better i noticed it just riding back, even though there werent as many twisties was still noticeable

I was the one that said your chain was slack. I was following you for quite a while and that chain looked like it needed some tightening.

You are all right, I will write CRUISE next time. I just don't want the group to split up too much. That will happen if we have fast riders and slow riders. This will also mean more stops (for us to regroup). I usually define the pace and try to stick to that, at least we all get to ride as a GROUP. Well, this isn't a big deal, I was just wondering about the pace thats all.

Feint, "Cruising Speed" is good wording. We dont want to promote fast riding on public roads. If people want to ride fast than they should do so on the race track. We want everyone to come home in one piece.

This ride was perfect with people riding at their own comfortable pace.
