Avoid the dri-rider boots. The synthetic upper cracks easily (< 18 months old) then leaks like a sieve.

Ok, thanks. Yeah, I'll avoid dri-riders. Thats a bit crap since they're supposed to keep you dry.

My Alpinestar boots are Lorica and I've had them for about 5 years so Lorica must be pretty common by now. Incidentally, the boots have remained completely waterproof since buying them.

My Alpinestars SMX Plus boots are made from Lorica and are in better condition than a pair of leather Dainese boots bought at the same time 6 years ago.

I haven't crashed in them though.

    hah!

well it did not take long to find real proof, here is a bloke from down under, 3 years old though

I am so impressed with the performance of the Rukka pants that took the brunt of the fall and slide I returned them to the Australian agent with a letter of appreciation. If you went to the Rukka/Innotesco stall at the World Superbikes, you would have seen my pants on display.

and will only get better with new tech, I bet Temper foam are not made of leather

personally I only ride using Rukka and have crashed a few times, with excellent results

finding non leather 10 years ago you were pretty hardcore trying to find it

as more people opt in for vegan/new materials more money will flow to develop new materials with higher level of protection and performance

if anyone still get injured I do recommend new series with Tony Stark of things coming

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwsrzCVZAb8

vegan is pretty new but real and not all fancy stuff, here is a talk from a bloke from down under, former sniper, who used to run over animals for fun

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FCsyK4aRXQ

hi tech materials for bikers is not a bad thing so keep an eye open when you select your new gear, probably many have already bought new materials, not knowing about it

    Cheers
