I am so impressed with the performance of the Rukka pants that took the brunt of the fall and slide I returned them to the Australian agent with a letter of appreciation. If you went to the Rukka/Innotesco stall at the World Superbikes, you would have seen my pants on display.

and will only get better with new tech, I bet Temper foam are not made of leather

    https://www.nasa.gov/ames/spinoff/temper_foam_1981/

personally I only ride using Rukka and have crashed a few times, with excellent results

Real proof huh? Yet 100meters on the other side of that track fence at that WSB meeting: what were the racers wearing? Because?
    Government conspiracy or Aliens?
Don't you look at my accountant.

Dr Chris Hurren, who actually tests motorcycle clothing is at the Shiny Side Up events round the country this year: https://shinysideup.co.nz/talent/

Also, the Ride Forever website has some useful info on buying gear and the international standards they have to meet. Boots here: https://www.rideforever.co.nz/buying...ht-gear/boots/

That was some serious thread dredge. The intervening decade has probably produced a lot more plastic boots than were available back when the thread was young.

As far as water proofing goes heavy duty gumboots a superior to any leather product. Seconded by GRUBS FROSTLINE horseding boots.
