Back to the OP, I bought a new pair of boots this week.

I'm not a vegan, not even particularly fond of fruit and vegetables. I tolerate them.

But this time I actually read the handbook that came with the boots, and they are fully synthetic.

Sidi Canyon GTX boots, made using some magical artificial process using threads that ate 1/1000th of the width of a spiders web.

I thought they were just boots.

Looks like something you'd have on in an S&M session.

The reveiw video clearly states there is leather in the more protective pararts oft the boot. Toes, shin, heal etc. Sorry vegans....

thanks, it is a mix with leather, the new fibre seems good, probably will not be long before they start vegan labeling products as Schwarzenegger, Dolph Lundgren, Tony Stark and others are going "vegan"

Full Grain Microfibre with very similar characteristics to the genuine leather. Full Grain microfiber is not affected by aging and all its features are meant to be long-lasting. Lighter of leather it has very high mechanical properties outstanding tensile strength, tear resistance and flexing endurance. It maintains its softness independently from the exposition to every temperature. Full Grain Microfibre is stabil, breathable and water repellent. More resistant than leather.

Full Grain Microfibre sounds like a breakkfest cereal. Lets hope it breaks down over time or the enviroment is hosed.
