Woodybee's Denmark And Sweden Rallies August 2010

    Hey Dudes and Dudess's

Well got back from the trip late Wednesday and had the most fun time eh. Hung around with mostly Swedish, Danish Finish and Germans with the odd Norweigan thrown in. Lots fo flirting and bikes, bring that round again.

Got on the Ferry at Harwich, and had the most amazing feeling of excitment I couldn;t believe that Tex and I were actually going to Europe have planned this trip ages ago, but wow, how unbelievable the feeling was to ride up the ramp. Had befriended a couple of brist that were riding downwards towards Germany, so followed them off the Ferry to get jiggy with the wrong way round and left them at a place called Utrecight or something like that.

Fuck it rained so much, my waterproofs gave up and I was drenched, I made it to a fab little campsite in Denamrk dried myself off, did a bit of washing coooked up a mena curry and snored the whole night through. woke up to brilliant Hot Sunshine, and just apst Emmen, my GPS decided it was sulkingly wet and didnt work for a a bit. Met a lovely Netherlands Garage owner who couldnt speak english, but we managed to converse to get to Mate can you print me off some Google maps to Hamburge Bitte......

Maps printed out and I set off singing my head off in the sunshine peeled off some layers and stopped at a motorway cafe. Looked how long it was to Hamburg and Went Hmmmmm,. Downed a Pizza and saw the signs for Hamburg a short while lated and carried on with a new zest.

Got to the next motorway services and though bugger it I am tired, must have riden about 300 miles that day......so kicked off my boots, bought a huge steak had a beer and sat watching the lorries pull up, seemed every lorry driver wanted a chat as I was sat next to Tex.....what a hunk magnet Tex is.

    Next bit Underneath.

    Denmark and sweden part 2

So I had the shittiest night sleep with doors banging, and my door tried several times by pissed up travellers so shouted quite a few FUCK OFF BITTE's at them which eventaully did the trick.

Then took the motorway past Hamburg and the heavens opened yet again I couldnt believe it. road, for couple of hours, and stopped and dripped failry dry in a motorway coffee shop. the staff felt sorry for me and after the first coffee I got the rest free.

The the rain was only just pissing down and I pushed on, this time to the Ferry across to Denmark as I had planned to meet some Brits in Kopenhagen which was incidentally miles away.

Realised when I was trying to find my passport and money etc., whilst cascading water everywhere, that I needed a waterproof bumbag for projects such as fishing out essentials, but everyone was patient apart form the prick behind the desk.....

Rode on to the ferry and the guys tied my bike down and the deck hands helped me out of my wet gear and I went onto the Ferry.

My hands were now black as my 100 year old gloves must have been dipped in dye again the previous night, so I was looking at them, and ended up in First Class, and a stupid little man, said Modom, Serviettes should be taken from the middle of the ship.

So I did the police things, ingnored him pretended to be deaf until I had a left a pool of water deep enough for a small whale to swim in. Had a few smiles off some of the 1st classers, as I was obvisouly a biker chick and in my mood for short man syndromes. so bit the little tosser Adeau and by that time it was ready to ride off the Ferry into even more rain!!!!!grrrrr

Pushed on, and stopped a a placed called Faro....Denmark somewhere on route to Kopenhagen and the brist rang and said keep going Jan you are only 80 miles away from Kopehagen....

so through the rain I pushed I felt like an illustrious Traveller....Move over Ted Simons....thiks biker chickk will steal your thunder with a book one day matio.

Got to Kopenhagen to find the flat I was staying in which belonged to the Triumph Deanish Sector Chap was 5 flights up stairs and to be told take what you need and come up involved 5 trips as I kept forgetting stuff, and an well deserved beer was devoured in 2 gulps.

    Denmark Sweden Part 3

an interesting night involving the Flat Owner ERIC, bringout out various concocsions of booze in little bottles, some yum some yuck, but found out I had a passion for Irish Coffee (or rather the quirty cream) so I was in charge of squirting the cream to the delight of my mates, half cream half coffee, 1/4 whisky......oooo yeah.

Stole the cream and we all set off for Sweden the next morning.

The rode at about 120kms, which is just on my limit for a comfy cruise, but stuck with them until we got to Marlo, when we paid for the bridge, they waited for me, and I didnt have a chance to put my gloves on, so rode about 300 kms. without gloves, quite liberating actually, although entirely stupid.

We didnt stop once, and ended up at Camp Ronnesburg run by the TULSEBORG BIKERS club for theBrittania Rally of Sweden.

The sun had come out for the last 15 mins of the ride, so when we got the site, I threw my tent up, got my green turtle shorts on, and I woodybee'd around the ground. I met a lot of amazing folk, the sun was now blazing and boy the site was filling up met Mekka the Finhs man who threw me a beer and then got stalked by a couple of old German Man, so then got my speed walking legs on and lost them on a couple of legs of the site. And then smelt the most amzing smelll of Sausages........

I followed the Aroma to 4 Triumph Chopper rather delicous men, who had their tops off and were laying next to a barbeque doing its stuff with the sausages. So plonked myslef down and said you guys are simply amazing and got invited to Dinner. Thats were I met. Mickael, Peter Andy and Mick. Really nice guys who commenced to get incredible pissed, so joined them in that got board and did the rounds.

On the next way round met a Swedish Bird called Annette with White Spikey Hair. After about 10 mins of chatting and drinking with her, I got adopted by her and swedish sector and it was decided I should ride with them to Denmark.....No arguments from me.

The rest of the night was fantastic, the swedish rallies have an hour for the ladies were there is a lot of nice jewellery and champagne and little food being handed around......Met the Swedish Annette and her friend Annette!!! and by the time I got out of there I was well tanked up.

Found the Mickaels Gang and we wandered around spent the night eating with then and telling jokes, then they went to bed, apart from Mickael who I danced the night away with.

The end of the night dance was curious a lot of jumping from foot to foot and spinning round, good fun though.

    Denmark and sweden part 4

I didnt got to bed till 530 so wasnt going to get up till 3, but Mickael came and shook the tent and said Janny Brekky in his swedish tones, so literally came out on my hands and kneers and got piggy backed to Breakfast. Mickael sorted it out, got the bread and cheese and Ham and coffee and Orange Sorted, and after gulping all that, down felt a lot better.

Decided another 3 hours sleep was needed, so told Mickael to pick me up at 12 and we went for a walk to a nearby lake, gorgeous place, then it started to rain....A Fucking Gain.....

We sprinted back to the camp and the party was in full swing......Danced with an 85 year old who was the oldest one. Got the Award for the furthest Travelled Wooooo Hoooo, got a few neat gifts too........Partied on till dawn......Collapsed to bed.

Hung around till 11 for the Swedes to get themselves together, fuck they can drink.......and we rode as a 5 group to Kopenhagen again.....back across the bridge which now decided to throw a gale force wind to play with, so Tex and I leaned together to get through that, I love Tex.... and we eventually got to a place which name escapes for for Lunch.....and Indian.....hmmmm quite nice though and I was ravenous, so sweated that out for the further k's to Kopenhagen.

Camped up in a campsite near to the town centre, showered up and we 5 ventured into town, had a sausage in a roll intersting version of a hot dog........walked around, Kiopenhagen by night is very pretty.......Found a Jaxx Bar, but it was well smokey.....DISGUSTING....Left there, and went back wth the 2 Annettes, think we had had enough of Kop's by then.

The lads stayed in and got in at 6, we were upat 6 and away from 9, so told them we would see them at Camp MC Noredeburg and stopped outside the boys tent to rev up Tex to bid them GBye. (Now know the Swedish for Fuck off)

We had a brekky in town, and rode the the camp, which was just for bikers. How blissful is that.
We decided to buy a shit load of beer and cook foreselves, which was steak and pototatoes, and spinach cooked in cream and salt.....yum yum yum........

Then met a gorgeous Danish Crazy man who had a mohecan blonde with a black surrounding strip mad eyes. He rode helmetless and was a dream to talk with. Nowt happened there though as decided to tell him I thought he was lovely on the day we rode away, and he gave me the biggest hug and said I should have told him the night before, as he felt the same......oh well.........

So 4 happy days on the camp and the boys had now joined us, A guy called Graham Bell and his American Friend Bill who I had met at the Swedish Rally were there too. Gtraham was on a 1948 Triumph (which he has written a book on......called Daisys' Dairies.) I ordered it from Amazon to be there for me when I got home. What an interesting and lovely Man.

The 5 of us, got up took lots of silly photos with the Danish Pack and we head for the Danish Rally in a place called Rodaeskabro.

Once there got to the most amazing Club House which is owned and Run by a group Called the Jolly Rogers. Its a Harley and Triumph Group and they were the most amazingly friendly folk I have quite possible met.....but I am lucky enough to endessly run into nice folk.

    DENMARK AND SWEDEN Part 5

Well the rally was fantastic, set adjacent to a pond and countryside in a quiet little town with a shop and a cashpoint, I fell in love with it.

At this point I decided to leave the Swedish to talk Swedish for a while so shared 5 bottlles of Red Wine, with my mats Graham and Bill, who had been joined by Grahams Bro Howie and his ab fab french wife called Trish. We all chipped in for the wine and stew which Graham made . It was frigging delicious. Howie is the rain man, who has black clouds who follow him everywhere. Every Rally he has turned up to were Graham in can be sunny until he rides onto the field!!!

Graham told us once they were eating in a resurant and Howie joined them and then it started to rain outside and drops of rain dropped slowly onto Howies Head, no one else's until the roof collapsed!!!!! I wet myself laughing at the stories Graham told about Howie who he was gently teasing

We wandered very pissed into a by now very full hall.Made fab friends with a guy called Robert who I watched clambering up some steps and said in rather loud voice to Trish, wow hasn;t he got a nice arse.....to which he turned and smiled and introduced himself as Robert.

the Swedes came in and rushed over and it felt really strange as I had ny now spent so long with them that I had really missed them in the 3 hours we had been apart so lots of huggin went on and then the SHOTS started, met a tiny swede called Christov who had arrived (briefly met him at the danish rally) and boy there was round after round.......Cant remember much of that after that.....but have seen the photos and heard the stories, aparently I was on fine form, out for fun and mental......oh well, its good to be a happy drunk.

The rest of the rally wwas spent hanging around with graham and his crew, the Swedes and Robert........The rally continued as the ralllies do lots of food and booze and new friends.

the Sad times came on Sunday Morning as I bid Goodbye for Daisey and Graham and his Crew and the Swedish crew took off in opposite directions almost simultaneously, which left me rather empty.

So Robert was there and I helped them clear up, took a ride out to his place 7 kms away, met the dog and 2 cats very cute, spent the rest of the time with him. The Club threw a BBQ for the remainder of us which was fantastic on the Sunday

In the evening Robert me and Ulna and Ninges her hubby ( a Jolly Roger) went to a quaint restaurant and feasted the night away. We went to Ulna for a coffee and then the night came to and end, so sad saying goodbye to new friends.

Monday morning came round far too quickly and it was time for me and the rest of the brits to leave the camp. Christov was still there as was a few Jolly Rogers and we got waved off. and I rode off really sad to leave the Friendly Jolly Rogers. Crew.

Roberts booked a flight to come over mid Sept, I am goin back there end Of October for a night in club so ogood friends all round.

The sweidhs guys are coming over the srart of September for some premiership football.....they get here in 2 weeks and the Swedish Annetts are coming across before Christmas for some shopping, so staying in contact with all of them.

So what an amazing So much fun, and happy memories.

Thats it folk, hope you enjoyed the brief read, lead shitloads out.....tooo
