Qatar GP 125cc and moto 2

Hey all just been watchin the GP at Qatar (thanks mysky!) Did anyone end up watching the 125cc race? jeez the last few laps were pretty intense! 3rd place would be spewin!
Also the Moto 2, what you guys reckon about this class? i thought it was pretty exciting and damn close racing too...

Still havent watched the GP yet but getting there...

Moto2 makes for great watching, I thought.

Large grid, plenty of riders out there wanting to get their name up the top. The GP was the best race to watch of the night, yes. But Moto2 was well worth the viewing too.

All 3 classes had their moments, some more than others but basically all 3 races were great. It is looking like a fascinating season in all 3 classes. I feel though that 125 has lost some of its X factor. Perhaps more teams/riders doing Moto2 instead. Aprilia with no new bikes, just most riders on last years bike... MotoGP did throw up the possibility that it won't just be the 4 aliens at the top this year though. Dovizioso, Spies and Hayden could also be up there with the other 4 all season.

Wait until Elias is fit and de Angelis doesn't have a whoopsie in T3.
My feeling is that Toni will pretty much be the leader all season. He can hardly bloody walk or use his hand right now and was at the front for the whiole race!!
Fantastic win for Shoya though.

125 is fine Cleve, it is just that there are no real 'names' that many of us relate to right now. But as I spotted in 2006 when I was in his garage at Estoril (name drop, name drop), Pol Espargaro is one to really watch this season. I have a poor feeling about young Bradley unfortunately. Here's hoping I'm wrong.

Tueni racing livery looks cool too. Tueni is a social networking website. Any web companies in NZ got sponsorship money to spend??? Moto Academy NZ is ready and waiting.....

But what 125 does show right now, is that Spain is the undisputed epicenter of small bike racing right now, if not all bike racing really. They already have a national Moto2 championship (or pseudo one anyhow). How about that?

The 125 race was lacking the usual last lap scrap for the win because Terol managed that race to perfection. I too have a bad feeling that Bradly is not going to have the fairy tale season that he would have hoped for.

Moto2 was good, Tomizawa was a class act for sure. I found it a bit strange see some big name riders racing for no points just outside the top 15 though! For example, Lucas Pesek crossed the line in 15th with the exact same race time as Mike DeMeglio (+26.265), Lucas gets 1 point and Mike gets nothing!

I thought the moto2 was a bit of a yawn compared to the race's we saw last year from the class it replaced. Bring back the 250's

I think you will find 125's wont be developing much more now as they know the end is near after the success in the grid format for the new Moto2 series how long till Dorna look at doing the same to 125's

I still think tho that varying engine brands should be the go makes it more GP racing but I am notcomplaining it was brilliant to watch would haveloved to have been racing init the Dunlops didnt seem to survive tho

They love jamming in every 5 mins "and there's a Brit , A BRIT" ! Bradley Smith, coming fifteenth and all the reasons why. In the mean time missing whats going on.

Where's Barry Sheene when you need him ? Now he was great, had been there and was up with it.

Moto2 could be ok. Great fighting and forty of them, just like the peak years of GP.
