So not heading north then, looks like I'll see you at BK, summit road then round the bays to finish up at speights ferymead sounds good.

Weather looks clear, just might need to wrap up warm

i noticed some flooding on old taitapu road this evening: on the corner before Rossendale vineyard, travelling towards christchurch, most of the lane was under water - be careful, it's on a blind bend. my side (heading towards taitapu) was clear.

also watch out for ducks on the road exploring the new lakes and ponds (i slowed down for a pair of 'em on halswell quarry road)

see you all tomorrow with my fresh rubber rear end!
    I can haz twisties!

Will be there too, but may not turn up till just before 12. Will be looking at a couple of different bikes as feeling like a change, if they measure up to the mighty hornet of course......
These aren't the bikes we're looking for....

saweet. speaking of rear tyres, il need a new one soon enough!

the route planned wont involve too much 100k riding anyway, just gonna have to watch the summit road.

    Enjoyed that!

Tho the Summit road is to be treated with wholesome respect at this time of year
Good to meet you Gibbo89,hope the route today didn't put you off!
A wee moment for Retro and Dave I think?

The gorgeous Italian STs were out in force & Neels new Duc is the steal of the year!

Reckon it was colder when I got home and walked the dog & did some gardening than on the bike(tho I have got heated grips....)

Great day for a ride. Pretty uneventful other than dodging people movers and white hatchbacks, and a startled cyclist that obviously didn't expect to find a bike overtaking a bus around the next bend.

Summit road wasn't too terrible considering the time of year, around the bays was interesting with quite a bit of clay from what was the banks lying on the road.

Was in good company with the new toy today, the plan for ducati world domination progresses one step further..

Good to see Gibbo89 out for his first saturday ride, it seems the summit road is becoming the initiation for first timers

Was a good ride today , couple of loose moments round the summit, but guess thats just winter riding for ya . Bit of a blast to the ale house in ferrymead 'the long way round' from wheatsheaf........ only arriving a few minutes after the rest of the crew. Going to miss next sat, as roster says I'm workin . Plan sounded good anyway

Hornet's got that new bike itch real bad, I'm thinking theres going to be some interesting wed nite runs back from akar's this summer . Its a lot of bike for 15k Mr H

These st's are appearing like wild fire, mint bike Neels, buy of the year I'd say

I had a bit of a stuff up today.

Went to the rifle range early for a practice and got my ram rod stuck in the bloody gun. I got to BK 5 min late, took a guess that you's went up Dyers pass, never saw any body but did stop with a group from Hog for a while at the summit.

    Oh well next time.

You are right Cruza, I popped into Hamptons on the way home. They were closed but let me in, and had a good chat. Will see what deal they can rummage up for me. They reckon they might be able to do one in black, hmmm If anyone wants a good Hornet let me know....

Enjoyed the ride today (especially the faster bits ) apart from Dave's tail tidy which threw up a precocious amount of stones round the summit rd

Most painful getting your ramrod stuck.............. And then not remembering the route............ You were missed But don't worry the slingshots are reloaded
