Maybe go to Lyttleton to toast marshmallows on the remains of the leaking/caught fire fuel tanks? (yes that went around our place too)

    Any particular ideas where?

Weather forecast for tomorrow looks good, so I'm keen for a ride, maybe heading north away from the earthquake faults may be a good idea.

Another go at Greta seeing as the plan was slightly interrupted last saturday?

Mr Plug and myself discussed trying to do the Scargill loop this saturday.

I expect the road to Akaroa will be bussy this weekend as folk check their batches.

Any day without a major earthquake is a good day.

at least your getting your repairs underway. i just don't know whether to pay the excess and get everythig done, or to just fix the brake lever and toughen up with some scratches and bent foot peg.

but in saying that HOT's bike sounded like it got a lot more tamed than mine

I feel sorry for you guys that cant sleep. Im finding them quite pleasant now and hardly ever wake up.

But then again I've always found it easy to get to sleep and I've always been a heavy sleeper.

I'm also a heavy sleeper but this has frazzled my nerves, hence the reason for getting away! Found the sleeping tablets doc gave me wonderful, had a great sleep last night!

Take care up there and I'll see you soon! xoxox

So we should all come down there for a quick cuppa?

Good you're looking after yourself anyway, no point in glossing over it and no stigma - I think this whole "you'll have aftershocks for weeks" thing is a big wake up (sadly literally for some) for the wider NZ public, it's always been portrayed as sort of becoming definite outcomes from a fixed initial event after maybe 3-7 days (eg tidy up, repair, or relocate while evaluate/rebuild)... Again, a bit of a big reality to live with.

Yes could be a nice day for it.

Same arrangement as last week with riders joining in along the way. (Check my post for last week Page 64.)

And I second that about no major quakes. Quakes of 3 to 4 I can live with if I have to. My flat on the second story of a 100+ year old wooden house gets whiplash with 5 to 7 quakes!!!!
And remember ...... if it hasn't got one of "Uncle Flip's" prosthetic kickers it isn't a real motorbike!!!
