Music: Covers that are better than originals

This is inspired by a thread on another forum I am on: Here is an example from another member. I dont agree, but I would never have seen the Willie Nelson version of this song otherwise.

Jimmy CLiff: "The Harder they come" (words to live by...)

any song that wasn't metal, then was covered by a metal band. Can't think of any atm, but heres a cover off a metal band, not better, but different and worth a watch.

We did this one before but it didn't get much traction. I'll play though.

    Here is a clear example:

"It aint Easy" from Ziggy Stardust is not a Bowis song: its byRon Davis, and its been covered by a bunch of people. But Bowie owns it. Its on the best rock and roll record ever released for gawds sake.

Scuse my spelling, but I love Louie Louie covered by Motorhead, it's plain old wrong & wayyyyyyy more catchy than the original with Lemmy's silky vocals.

The Ministry cover of "Black Betty" is clearly superior toevery other version (though I havent heard the Lead Belly one).

FAIL. Nothing beats Johnny Cash's version of anything.
