Christchurch Ulysses Ambulance Ride 25th April 2010

    Hi All

This is probably already advertised but just want to make sure everyone was aware, Myself and bittertwistedcute and motardgeek are volunteeringto asssit, and would love to see you all on the ride. Details below:

The annual St John fund rasing ride is just over a week away on ANZAC Day, the 25th April and I invite all motorcyclists, scooter-isti, mopedlers...anyone with two wheels and an engine to join us and show our appreciation to St John for the job they do.

This year we are supporting the Banks Peninsula Branch of St John and all funds generated from ride badge sales, the sausage sizzle and hot drinks goes to them.

Meet at the South City Mall Carpark from 11.00 am. Departure time for the ride to Little River is 1.00 pm.

We all ride thinking, hoping we'll never need to call on them for help but unfortunately a number of our fraternity do need their assistance from time to time. St John do a amazing job turning out in all sorts of weather. If they can come to our aid in rain, hail or shine then we can do likewise so no matter what Old Huey chucks at us on the day the ride is on.

    See you there.

Those riders not wanting to go on this ride can come along on our Anzac day ride to Kaikoura. We get a feed and have a great ride up the Inland road and back along the coast. We always have a great day. And if you want you can donate to St Johns at a later date.See our ride thread.

We watched the procession of bikes this avo, as we were coming home from a duathlon that was in Tai Tapu. Looked great ! Was great weather for the ride!!! Was a little envious!!!

Was a good ride, although the wind picked up a bit on the way back! Now have another badge to add to the growing collection!!

Thank you to all that organised this ride!

Went along in my lunch break for a look see. It was the smallest numbers I'd see for a awhile, (except one year when the ride was postponed due to rain) but still good to get those no's for the cause
