    True but a couple of twenties, some phone call costs aint gonna help me get to that dream of bigger bike in the near future. Got this brand new 3 years back and didnt get to doing all this until now. Its just to make these already looking good machine look a bit more nicer on the streets which is my only use now... pure commuter ... in and arnd Welly.

    I am not a new rider ... been riding for almost 6 - 7 years...but this is my first bike in NZ and what I could afford at that stage...

    Sorry yep trying to get a mounted camera or something , will see what I can come up with my phone.... its got a screaming deamon on it... my first Mod after 2 weeks of buying it...

    *EK chain {gain horse power}
    *EBC brake pads {better braking}
    *decent tires {pirelli super corsa's the best,as tested on the track}
    *Renthal hand grips {supprisingly helps alot}

    Looking good mate.
    Mate would love to talk to you more... as I said this was just a bunch of guys under a shed with some tools talking of extra weight and unwanted stuff... we literally spray painted the windscreen... not perfect but does the job for 12.75 $ instead of 168 $ + shipping.

    My next aim is Air Filter(BMC) + Front Sproket (13) + Brake Lines + Pads just to give it that lil bit of low gear edge but help me stop when some bloddy cager decides to get up close and personal with me all of a sudden

    Mate you will be suprised ... a bit of mods as I mentioned above... some good air filter, sprokets,nice brakes , WhEELS, could make a hell of a lot of difference... these are now raced quite a lot in the states...

    Lol thanks for that.... yep both myself and Nick may not be PURE KIWI's or maybe Nick is more Kiwi than me... but just keeping the KIWI DIY bug alive....

    Oh ya Nick is all for that... I think he is also on Kiwibiker but not sure of his nickname... next time he is around will ask him to post about his Mods... I cant keep up... he's also got a freakingly scary pimped up 4 wheel as well...

    ya took that line straight out of the movie.... sorry Mom and teacher always complained that creativity wasnt my cup of tea

    Nothing againts Hyosungs, but I would stop after downing the sprockets. Anything else is really false economy unless you're going to keep it forever or don't mind losing money on it.

    That jono charcter is mocking hyosungs.....and he has a FXR150....they are one of the worst assembled and build motorbikes to be made from a japanese manufacturer. Hyosungs may of been poorly in 2004,2005 when they first came out, but now in my opinion they are just as good as the japanese brands, Especialy the gtr250.

    Clearly you're an expert because you race a 250.
    Do you want a medal?

    Read my last post: I have nothing against Hyosungs.
    You're an idiot, there have been zero problems with FXRs. Show me a more then one when where build quality is an issue. This is about 250s not Hyos get over yourself.

    You have been riding a 250 for 3 years? A least you have the patience of a saint. If 250 is all you want, then knock yourself out modding the thing. Just don't expect to make it much faster than it already is. Also be aware that a mint factory standard bike will usually bring at least as much, sometimes more, than a bike that has been modded when the time comes to sell it.
    Ride fast or be last.

    Nup I got a mint early model 250 Comet and theres nothing to fix on it. It's solid as a rock.

    Let it go dood. It's no good arguing with people because they said this or they said that. They can't affect you.

    Wow,
    Great advise there DB.

    Woody,
    Sometimes I get the impression you were a Pitbull Terrier in a previous life.

    I have nothing against PBT's myself... Just that you remind me of one at times
    That isn't a bad thing, just an observation.

    Anyhow,
    Good on neop26 for doing something a little different to his bike.
    Who cares what it is.. It is HIS, and he is allowed to do whet ever he likes.

    Carry on guys.
