I find it amusing that we often support self determination overseas, but never within our backyards.

I quite fancy a bit of a Kiwi/Maori mixed lifestyle... you gotta say, even back then they had it sussed. A population that grew up respecting its elders and actually taking their advice and following examples set... not being ordered to do something because "someone" knows best.
