Hells bells looks like it might be a wet one.

It doesn't look like it's going to be too cold. The new fabric cadura jacket is going to get a work out, it better be water proof as I don't want to pack an over coat.

How do you find out what roads are open? In the past I have called up the local garage and asked them, is there a better way when we are on the road.

If its still raining Friday as predicted i will post up what roads are closed down here early Friday morning in this thread fwiw.

Its farkin terrible eh,just got a mate and his Mrs turn up,they live 17 kms up the road to Kurow from Oamaru,been in town shopping and went to head home but got turned back at the turn-off,hes in a 4x4 but still wouldnt let him through,never mind just have to guy buy some Woddies and break out the cards.

well as it's persisting down now will stay in doors, may not have any left for the Brass just debating what to start on the cold beer or room temp red or even a chilled woody's but as you can see the red won cheers

Mrs S has taken the kids to town, but just as she left, she said no bike in the lounge even after I told her that I would use a tarp coz it's to cold in shed, 2nd glass of red starting to feel brave maybe.......

Hell yes. The 3rd wheel and the nobblie tires just seem to be the thing for this trip. Just changed over the generator to a new one and given the old girl an oil change.

I am hoping my bike will be back sometime this week, even if it is not repaired as long as it is rideable.

Got the mighty "turtle" running finally, two years of sitting under a tree did not help the old girl, the photo shows she is now in "tip top"condition i even replaced the old duck tape with red tape and wrapped a bandage around the pipe, i have been around the block half a dozen times so i know shes good to go.
What could possibly go wrong??

Poured down here for the last 6 days,they have just closed the road North again.Weatherman says its going to rain through till Thursday next week then Friday is supposed to be the first day without any,you guys may well time it just right,will be a huge pot of Vege Soup and toasties in Virgil st awaiting ya,Anthony or Q can you let me know a rough time that you guys will be getting here and how many,Ta.

Sweet,thought as theres so many i might set up a table outside or if its rainging (still) in the garage,will do a big brew of Vegie soup with hocks etc and some toasties etc.Yea mate will ride awhile.Am planning to go over Saturday for the night.
