A quick flick through the Road Code states speed limits must be adhered to ... no tolerances in law are given. If people continue to speed (die) ... NO tolerances given ...

The clampdowns have only just began ...

Honestly is going from 110 to 105 much of a clampdown, really. I would say if every motor driver stopped speeding for a month and gave the rozza nothing to do they could fix the boy racer problem once and for all.

Nothing to report on the closed road thing, its like summer down here and will be again Friday/Saturday,only thing i would watch for is from Timaru South to Oamaru theres some bloody big holes in some very inconvenient places in the road, its where they have laid patch work and during the flooding they have sunk, some heaps.Currently slaving away over a hot stove making the soup of all soups Actually im lyin,im sitting here having a Bourbon with 3 that are staying overnight and heading away to the Brass in the morning, the Mrs is however slaving away making said soupfor those calling in with Anthony there will be Soup,Garlic bread etc and will do some bangers/onions etc on the BBQ so you lot wont starve.May be a tad seedy as the 3 that are here seem hell-bent on making a night of itwas going to ride with you lot down to Dunback etc but will reserve my decision until morning comes, catch you guys tommorow.

I have a Tee shirt for U jammed into the tool box. Catch me down there.

I'm feeling about 50% better today, which is still pretty crappy actually. Going to take it nice and easy and do the direct route tomorow, central is going to be interesting at 80kph.

Was hoping to make my first BM this year but, we've been booked into my mate's 40th in Methven on Sat night so maybe next year ( bugger ). Sunday late morning - mid-day we're coming through to Ashburton ( for a coffee ) then North, if any of you are on the road going that way give us a toot when you overtake us .....

Look out for a loaded Hayabusa in white ....maybe next year, have fun............

Take note to mate, came round a sharpish lefthander south of Waimate today to just miss a bloody deep hole on the left hand side of lane, deep enough to cause you trouble if you hit it at speed.Got a mate whos a foreman on one of the roading gangs and he reckons theres so many around here it will be weeks before they have fixed them all up.
