Sloan, I'm not actually having a go at you. I'm just trying to point out that for that money you could have a pretty good site.. Sorry if I've caused any offence.

Yes, I do a few racers sites for nada as I'm just an average hobbyist so I couldn't charge....but there are a couple of guys on kiwibiker who make pretty exceptional racers sites.

As for boxes of beers, I've still got a couple in the garage earmarked for you.

I think Sloan overall has made a very valid point. Having a website and promoting yourself is a must if you want to attract and keep sponsorship. And although personally I can't afford the amount of money required for Sloan's mate's help. He has helped give me a kick up the arse in terms of getting on with sorting this sort of thing out . So thanks Choppa.
Incidently, if you'd offered me a ride on some carbn rims for a bit of publicity, I would have bitten your arm off. A bit of magazine time is priceless.

I also didnt know about visordown.co.nz and having just had a look, it looks really good and I will certainly be making use of the site. Good work website building fella.

I reckon it's a good idea, I agree it looks a little budget, but it is better than no website.

I'd be happy to help you out with the design and layout side of things Choppa?

Building and maintaining a website really isn't that hard & you can do it for next to nothing.

www.webs.com offers FREE websites for a advertising banners placed on ya site. They have templates you can choose and you can update it yourself. There are probably more sites like this out there, I just did a quick search on google. Make sure you have a read of their terms tho.

The only real cost I can see is the domain name. You can get one for around $40 a year.

You can also consider hosting the site overseas. Our website cost us a grand total of NZ $32 for the year INCLUDING the .com domain name.

Check out www.3ix.com, the sites come with a preinstaller to select the type of web site you want and you can update it easily yourself if needed. No real techie stuff needed.

$400 + a year, someone saw you coming.
