200 a week that would ve cost a fortune.

And gotta say, love the Smokefree bar legislation too! No more coming home stinky of ciggy smoke. Just one non-smoker's perspective.....

    we pay more tax

leave us alone we pay shit loads of tax.
    smoking is a art form.
smokers dont live so long witch is a good thing if you live past 70 you start costing more health bills etc.
plus lets take away the 600 mil the goverment earns each year and see what happens , ps the goverment deep down dose not want us to give up

and if no one smoked you would have nothing to bitch about .

hmmm....you must have some funky clubs up there in Whangarei bro!

I find that while you're lagered you don't notice stinky people too much - it's just the morning after when you could smell the smoker's corner of the club all through your good duds, your hair, her hair.....actually sometimes depending on her, her smokey stinky hair is the least of your worries....

You're not the only one. Thankfully I don't go out much. But the couple of times I have since the law change I've noticed some seriously smelly people fulling up the clubs. So much for smoking killing my sense of smell, if it's bad to me I'd hate to think how you sensitive noses find it.

    Its more clubs than bars..

But, I lived in auckland - I noticed it when the reform came in when I went clubbing that weekend (I think it was that weekend or the next weekend whatever), I used to 'hit' the clubs so to speak every weekend, and after the no - smoking reform, I ended up comming home early It was like a sweaty man pit - hated it, havent tried any of the clubs around here, because why would you want to ... I mean its dodgy enough just parking up and having a coffee.

3 months of bronchitis?? that IS a good reason to want to stop. Maybe its why more people smoke up north?
