    Is this jacket suitable?

    Hi

I'm about to start riding a scooter (adly silver fox) to university (auckland). Do you think this is suitable for a protective jacket?

Hoping to learn, so all thoughts appreciated

    Thx

I'd put a proper back protector in it too. A Knox one, I'd recommend.
It's only when you take the piss out of a partially shaved wookie with an overactive 'me' gene and stapled on piss flaps that it becomes a problem.

Shit yeah, thats a kickarse jacket that will well-exceed what you need. Congrats for using proper safety gear on a scooter.

Yea 1Tonne gear is awesome, I have the Red Touring Jacket and the Red Track Dayer Gloves.

    And they are whicked.

Only other thing I might suggest is a High-Vis jacket especially because that jacket is all black. I wear one myself when I am out at night. Personally id rather spend 10 bucks on a High-Vis jacket and save myself from being smeared across the tar.

Perhaps. I think you would better served with some brighter lights and keep your speed up, own your own lane, etc. Cagers just seem to lurrrve running over scooterists (and some motorcyclists) who wear pussy jackets, so ride up the middle of the road like you own it.

Hell no - they are just toys..... like cars. You don't need a bike licence to ride one, so nope! not a bike

I've had it for about 2 months and the jacket seems to be really good. It's waterproof and of high quality. The lining is working well heading into winter
