I don't expect anyone to take notice of this, or anything to change. Nor do I lose any sleep over this, but it is something I'm sick of seeing on the forums.
There are nearly 20,000 members on this site, 0ver 4000 active. Yet whenever someone jumps to a conclusion, speaks ill of a company, or if a few (never more than 100) members agree, it gets called the 'KB way'. It never gets called a 'human characteristic', no no, because it happened on KB we'll make a wide sweeping statement that it's a KB characteristic. Which to me is just a cop out, a very weak argument that holds no water whatsoever.
There are members here who will quite happily say things like, 'the majority of people here....'. The majority? Really? I'd consider the majority to be 51% or more of the active members at least, if not the entire membership, which means at least 2000 people (or 10,000). It makes your point very weak when you say something stupid as that. Yet people will reply agreeing that yeah it is the majority.
The 'KB Kangaroo Court'? No such thing I'm afraid. There is no unique KB way. All these things existed well before KB, well before the internet. So before you label something as the 'KB way' think about it. What is KB? It's a meeting place, of nearly 20,000 individuals, who all have unique traits. There is no 'KB way'.
Thanks for reading. Rant over.
