    Aerodyanamics. Not spinal safety- that is what back protectors are for.

    go talk to Sam from Celtic leathers, he will actually tell you he does not like them at all, As the fact they can cause more potential danger also if you are suspected of a spinal injury you can not be sat on a stretcher dead flat like you shoud be and before you say well cut a hole in the stretcher etc not every ambulance will carry a race bike specific stretcher,

    Actually I was just getting general opinion here. I'm of the same opinion as Sam from Celtic. I'll sacrifice a tiny bit of of potential comfort for a flat -no digging in back on my leathers.

    Whats this "one-piece" business ?

    I'm still going around the track in my 5year old Rjays 2 piece, that's seen more crashes than a fatties had cake.

    People with no neck (ME!) can't wear them everytime I had the bike cranked over trying to look through a corner it tried to push the helmet over my f#@%n eyes
