    Grinding sound when taking off

The hyo's making a grinding sound when I release the clutch when taking off, also sometimes when heavily engine breaking. Its only for the first half of the clutch release that it does it... any ideas what it could be?

Sounds like a stuffed thrust bearing. If you are at all mechanically minded, its easy to pull the clutch off and check it. The main thing is to not strip the head of the bolts on the cover - use a quality socket.

You should get the bike shop or a tech mate to look at it. Tell them some random person on the internet said it might be the thrust bearing.

I'd say it's on borrowed time. At least get a bikeshop opinion on it ASAP (tomorrow), but I wouldn't be riding it around unnecessarily.

Only if the clutch blows up and all that shit gets fed throughout your entire motor jamming small oil ways and bearings. Otherwise all good ...............

How many kms on the Hyo-bag?
