What is the best helmet in the wet?

Just about time for a new lid and riding home when it was dark and pissing down in Welly tonight got me thinking. My current HJC is comfy but noisy and what really gets me is when you lift the visor a tad to get air across to stop the fogging you get rain water running down the inside of the visor. You cant wipe it off the inside when you are going along! And the car/street lights make it even worse.

Anyone found a helmet that doesn't do that?

    I hear ya,

It was an interesting trip which I should have made in a submarine lol. I have a Nolan 103 and swear by it, my noodle was dry and I had great visibility, it has an internal clear visor on the visor which also prevents fog or mist. The only problem I had was the noise of the rain on my helmet interfering with the music I was listening too lol

I bought an AGV airtech from TSS about a year ago but previously I had only ever owned an HJC CS12 and I was quite happy with it at the time..

I decided to give the HJC a shot one morning as I was getting ready for work a week or so ago. Well the HJC felt like a scratchy plastic bucket, fogged up almost instantly for no good reason and did I say uncomfortable?

I really like my AGV, very few fogging issues, very comfy, a bit noisy on long trips but plugs soon sort that out. But I don't recommend spending money on pin-locking a HJC unless you have tried a few other helmets on first.

One that's not full of holes and would keep your head dry would be a good start

Quasimoto has a new range of helmets. They look awesome, are 5 star rated, and don't cost an arm or a leg.

Well that counts out my KBC. Great helmet. But full of holes.

You can just buy a "stick on" double glazing-type system. It has a sticker backing around its outer edge, and you stick it to the inside of your visor. They are about $20 at motomail. They work beaurrifully.
No more fog. No need to open visor at all.

Mine has lasted me a year so far.

I have read a few times on KB that the stick on ones have a tendency to unstick and end up flying off mid ride if you like to have your visor up from time to time.
