Ironically, the x's cause the picture to lose it's x rating......

Nope still can not find the way.
Settings >gen settings>image censoring>yes. When I go to manage attachments and do all the download thing I still can not find any button to censor the image........................nothing.
So what am I doing wrong?

There's several reasons.
Some people are able to access KB from their place of work (but never of course during work time...)That access can easily be put at risk by rudey nudey images on the screen, when a workmate or boss is going past. Having the image censoring option allows individuals to make the site more work-friendly for themselves.
The same can be said for those surfing the site in a family environment.
