Bit of a bummer Paul. Only thing I can suggest is to keep an eye out on the same day and time. If you spot the car block up the exhaust. Usually the last place that is looked at. Another good one (at night) is a can of black (mat finish) spray paint all over the front windscreen. No car alarm problems and the tossers don't notice this untill they get in side and turn their lights on.

    Cool

    Shit thats not good....

I have a mate that lives and shops there... NOPE it aint her...
She would leave a note.... in fact she got hit down there as well.

So you have some real bad drivers down your way....
They must got got their license in the lucky dip.... arseholes.
Or they paid $400 for their license.

Hope it aint gonna cost you too much to repair it.
Get the cost and then compare it to your insurance no claims...
It may not be worth going throu your insurance.

    But it sux's big time.

I know some people park there cars well away from anyone else, just so this kinda thing dont happen to them... and man they have to walk miles ..lol ...to get to the shop.

I'll try to take a picture or get a copy of one the panel beater will take to give you an idea of the damage but I can assure you there is no way the person that hit our car could have done this without knowing...

The damage is quite high up (= top of the wheel arch) and the colour (blue) left goes all the way up so I assume it is either a 4wd or a vehicle with colour coded bumpers..

2 major panels damaged, trim damaged, light smashed, wheel trim gone - It will be like $1,500 minimum to fix which could easily write a car like this (1993 Magna sw) off......

That will really annoy me as it's a grouse car and I just stuck 2 new tyres and rear shocks on it. Going really well...

And 4WD owners (in particular) wonder why they're hated. So many of these dings are down to them.

The NSW Coroner has called for a ban on them (4x4s) within 200 mtrs of school zones as another kiddie was run over last week due to their poor visibility.

Well lets not turn this into an I hate 4x4 thread.. I'm not keen on em either but there are a lot of vehicles that 'could' have done this.. All the blue ones anyway...

    Cheers

Ah... I see... You get them confused with your logic and I sneak up and biff them with a lead pipe. Cunning, VERY cunning...

Painter says 'commercial vehicle or 4WD in blue and yellow' Its not a factory colour as it's 'strange'... Who has blue and yellow?

    The Highlanders? oops wrong thread.

Bugger, Paul, dosent that just rip yer undies. The wifes car parks up there every day and it has little scratches and dents all over too. You could go around the panelbeaters and ask if a vehicle that colour comes in for repair? If it is a commercial vehicle the owners may want it fixed (Co. image?)
What shade of blue? I will keep and eye out for it.

And this is my 500th post...now not only am I a halfwit, I'm now half a whore!

thats pretty rude Paul. I used to think my wife and her folks were paranoid about ALWAYS parking the cars in a parallel spot or miles away from anywhere else to avoid door dings but i'm starting to see the wisdom in it now. (not that parallel parks are a guarantee either but at least the pillock who mashed our front number plate in last week didn't get the paint work)
