That's because you spend so much time and effort blowing things up that everyone assumes you are an ace mechanic.

hehe, yes I forgot about *that* incident. What I should say is that I have never had any issues with a bike shop....!

Im good, behaving and paying off debt. Almost rid of *that* debt now, just another 16-18 months!

Well I do date a pretty onto it mechanic (he wouldn't have survived otherwise, lol!). Lucky he doubles a pretty ace teacher so I have learnt a hell of alot about how my bikes work and how best to fix them. Helps me quite a bit as when I walk into a shop I know what I want and why....

Yep, when I met my ex-husband, I had a bike and a licence - he had neither.

...and then there was the time not so long ago I was standing on the side of the road, watching my partner and another bloke carry my bike off the road (front disc bent, wheelie no-turny) after having thrown it down the road and watch it get run over by a 4WD, and a lady came and stood next to me and said "I'm so glad he's alright!" I turned to her aghast and replied, "It was MEEEE you saw bouncing down the road!"

This one is a big pet peeve of mine.
I went into Wellington Motorcycles a few years back, just browsing around. Salesman comes up to me with the usual intro, I say I'm currently riding a Thunderace and am just looking around. Salesman proceeds to try to sell me an SV650. Ummm...... I'm sorry Mr Salesman I know I'm a chick and therefore have no idea about riding in your view but why the f#ck would I come in here wanting to buy a bike with under half the HP of the one I already have?? What? You said it comes in shiney blue?? Welll, why didn't you say that, sign me up.....
