Not too sure on the plans being on me own now - have a feeling of moving home to ChCh in around 6 months, but not making too many decisions yet - early days ya know.

Be keen for a ride with ya anytime. Keep in touch eh.

Well it's not an argument starter (hopefully). I just want to know why is it that some guys just can't get it in their thick skulls that girls/women like to have nice things also.
I have a 1994 Kawasaki ZX9R and I'm proud of that. I get comments like "Oh aren't you spoilt having your mum & dad buy that for you" and "whats a good looking girl like you doing with a big bike like that!". It's so stupid. I must admit that in the last few months it has got better or maybe I'm just ignoring them more.

Is it just that some guys feel inferior to women on bikes?
Is it that they feel they can't compete?
Or maybe it's just the fact that they don't know how to act around us!!.

My best friend (also my passenger on my race sidecar) is a guy who doesn't have a problem and its so nice to actually hear compliments about my bike for once.

I ride with an all girl group called Babes On Bikes - we don't have rules or anything like that - its a group of women riders that get together and have a great time on our bikes. I hear of guys saying "oh I wouldn't ride with a women - they ride too slow" but hey that's crap - half the time when us girls ride together we leave the boys behind.

I think it's time NZ really woke up to the idea that women are on the agenda for having just as nice things as the men. What do you think?? Do you agree? How can attitudes be changed? Every thought welcome - politeness is promised in replies.

I am lucky. I have found most of the guys I have meet really good about me have a nice motorbike. (year 2000 CBR) One guy even said he had known a few girls now who rode.. but not any as fast as me!

Would love to put my 2cents worth in but all hell would break out if my partner reads it
so just hope she doesnt look or my death is on your head.
Meny Men/Males are intemerdated by Ladies/Females that can do the same (if not better) than them.
Size of bike can limit ones fun ie to small just a putt round to big loose licence.
Roads down here are not enjoyable for hard and fast riding.

You're from Gizzy right? Well I am not at all familiar with yr back roads but all the main highways I've travelled around that area have been VERY good for hard and fast riding! The first time I went thru the gorge from Opotiki to Gisborne I had only had my Buell for a week and was a little nervous ( and alot hungover ). Anyways these locals on HDs were giving it DEATH and so I told myself if those fullas can take the corners that fast on their bikes then SO CAN I! Had a blast! It was a great way to get comfy on the new bike... ps: done nearly 90,000kms on it now... ;-)

Well the main roads now are full of pot holes and unmarked gravel patches most on f n corners.
I'm a night owl rider and find them to be a pain in the ass.
there are some nice patches around that it can be opened up.
But its nothing like the roads around Auckland
