Well it's not an argument starter (hopefully). I just want to know why is it that some guys just can't get it in their thick skulls that girls/women like to have nice things also.
I have a 1994 Kawasaki ZX9R and I'm proud of that. I get comments like "Oh aren't you spoilt having your mum & dad buy that for you" and "whats a good looking girl like you doing with a big bike like that!". It's so stupid. I must admit that in the last few months it has got better or maybe I'm just ignoring them more.

Is it just that some guys feel inferior to women on bikes?
Is it that they feel they can't compete?
Or maybe it's just the fact that they don't know how to act around us!!.

My best friend (also my passenger on my race sidecar) is a guy who doesn't have a problem and its so nice to actually hear compliments about my bike for once.

I ride with an all girl group called Babes On Bikes - we don't have rules or anything like that - its a group of women riders that get together and have a great time on our bikes. I hear of guys saying "oh I wouldn't ride with a women - they ride too slow" but hey that's crap - half the time when us girls ride together we leave the boys behind.

I think it's time NZ really woke up to the idea that women are on the agenda for having just as nice things as the men. What do you think?? Do you agree? How can attitudes be changed? Every thought welcome - politeness is promised in replies.

i just gota say good on yah for being a rider the more the merryer male or female there all gr8 mates.
and if you getting lots of comments like the above then you must be with the wrong crowd they sound like arseholes to me.
stand tall be prowd for what you beleve in an if they dont like it then fukem they ant worth you time
    p.s. nice bike !

    cool.
Levels would be nice, never raced there (tho spent a bit of time studying the track while taking piccies of the guys), and it's kinda halfway...almost...sorta...
But we would prob be in different classes anyway, me being more of a bucket girl, or maybe pre 82 if I can find a bike to call my own

hey 'quicker chick' you gonna have to come up to auckland and proove you self against Qkchick to see if you are really worth of your name. Would be good to have tussle against you on the track as it looks like you are pretty serious, and adequately skilled too - just dont tell Keystone19 i told ya, otherwise she might get jealous.

judging by her profile pic i'd hazard guess at 30odd... i reckon Keystone19 would be up for it, shes on an SV650 unless she can steal whatever 600 Motobob is pottering around on, and shes faster than quite a few blokes in the north island too.

    Did someone mention my name.

Whats this I was the "quickest girl" talk. Stand up and be counted. Most guys like Gareth for example cant ride to save themselves lol.

You gals shouldn't feel like your 2nd class riders. I'm impressed with all the women I've seen riding. Once you gals have plenty of track time under your leathers a few will really be sticking it to fastest of the fast club.

And Gareth how can you pick that someone in a helmet with sunnies is 30 odd?

Sounds like theirs gonna be a North vs South challenge coming. Pick your handbags ladies and let the battle commence.

One more thing QC, you do know that any KBer on a Honda is slow aye. Its kinda like riding with one hand tied behind your back.
