some would say its when the riders learn to park properly, turn up at massey yesterday and all the bikes were parked parralel with one another, and correct entry angles. Over half the scooters were rode in and parked willy nilly, yeh you heard me, I went there, willy nilly it was. Thats the sort of thing that you look at and go, yip there's obviously a division in riding styles and skill levels there.

any scooter that can pass me or beat me off a give way stop, is welcome to their peice of road. usualy the only time sombody you passed , repasses you at lights or somthing, is if they accelerate hard then slow down at legal speed while you keep on going

hell when a scooter passes a bike on the open road boy do some of them get a little peved

have had it a few times will go past a bike and next thing they will chop it down a few gears and fang past me
but what pisses them off even more is when you keep up with them on twisty bits

dont worry its the same for cars as well

I guess a scooter should not be aloud to go that fast.............

    One would imagine he doesn't.
It's only when you take the piss out of a partially shaved wookie with an overactive 'me' gene and stapled on piss flaps that it becomes a problem.

Balu's burger is capable of sitting quite happily at 130 kph all day long, but that doesn't mean he does it.
Inconsiderate drivers/riders come from all backgrounds and modes of transport. I feel some "real" bike riders have been rude to me in the past, but I don't take it personally - they're just rude (in my opinion - in their own they're probably barely aware of my existence).

So it's really only an actual issue if what they're doing is unsafe, not whether you get your knickers in a twist over it.

Amen to that! This is so true. I assume that others are being deliberately rude or arsehole-ish ... but in fact they've probably hardly even noticed.

I thought the behaviour alluded to in the original post was just something about safety... but whatever.

Take some chill pills people! What are we actually arguing about?

I ride my scooter every day, commuting to work. It's 95% plain fun, 5% annoyance at other drivers' rudeness. But I cannot control others' behaviour - so I take care to keep my own house in order regarding my own behaviour to other road users... in short, I treat others how I'd like to be treated myself : with respect. Outside of that, I just go with the flow.

I saw a scooter rider in the fast lane of the Auckland motorway, on the Khyber Pass flyover heading into town at peak hour yesterday morning. It was pissing down rain and the traffic was horrendous. He was overtaking a truck in the middle lane. Big balls Did not notice the size of his penis though.
