Usually meet Haywards/Rimutex, ride over the Takas to Martinborough for coffee, ride back again. Great bunch of riders, very friendly and they have all been a great help to me with my riding.

No, that is one of the problems with groups. Unless you manually check for updates to the group, you'll miss out. Crazy really.
There is a setting under your "Settings" > "View all subscribed discussions" > "Selected Groups" where you get an option of getting an email sent to you if a new message is posted to the group. I don't know how many people have found this setting, it took me a while.
You also can't post a message to all group members to advice them of a new ride for example.
